The Association for Public Affairs aims to:
1. To act as a catalyst in building capability for informed debate on public policy through creating a knowledge-empowered active in Singapore.
2. To apply public and international affairs theory to practice, and propose holistic policy solutions to policymakers, while remaining cognisant of sensitivities to the prevailing political context and trade
-offs.
3. To conduct outreach and engagement activities to tertiary students in Singapore (Junior Colleges, ITEs, Polytechnics and Universities) to educate on public policy issues and raise the baseline of civic awareness.
4. To empower citizens in Singapore to be non-partisan voices of progress, justice, and rationality through integrity and professionalism in their speech and deeds.
5. To improve the general theory-praxis collaboration in public and international affairs, with a commitment to solving common wicked policy problems across countries, developing and developed.
6. To empower citizens towards community action to solve community problems through collaboration with relevant government, corporate, and civil society stakeholders.
