🚨 Your AI may be retrieving more than just answers.

As organisations integrate AI with internal documents, databases, and knowledge bases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) has become a powerful architecture for enterprise AI — and one of the least understood attack surfaces.

In collaboration with our Corporate Member, HACKAMI, this workshop explores how attackers can:

• Poison enterprise knowledge bases
• Manipulate retrieval results
• Exploit vector databases & embeddings
• Hijack model outputs without ever touching the model itself

Gain a red team perspective on RAG pipelines and understand the security implications of integrating external data into AI systems.

If your organisation is building AI-powered knowledge systems, this is a session you should not miss.

Celebrating One Year of Digital Defence Alliance Singapore

Last evening, DDAS marked our 1st Anniversary Gala Dinner, a milestone for our growing community committed to strengthening Singapore’s digital trust, resilience and safety.

We were honoured to welcome Ms Jasmin Lau, Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Ministry of Education, and Minister In-Charge of GovTech, as our Guest of Honour.

Ms Lau reminded us that as Singapore’s digital world grows smarter, protecting it becomes even more important. Digital safety is not something government can deliver alone; it is something we must build together. She also highlighted the role of youths as digital first responders for families and communities as scams, deepfakes and AI-enabled risks grow more complex.

DDAS launched the Digital Defenders Programme to empower Singaporeans, especially youths, to take action for Digital Defence. Through skills upgrading, volunteering, cybersecurity competitions, workshops and outreach, DDAS aims to inspire 10,000 youths across Singapore to become active contributors to Digital Defence.

Youth volunteers will also give back by helping seniors improve their digital literacy and online safety awareness, with the goal of reaching 1,000 seniors by May 2027.
This launch builds on DDAS’ first-year journey as a community-driven movement, supported by 40 corporate members, academic partners, community partners, 1,500 individual members, youth leaders, volunteers and our Secretariat team.

We also marked partnerships with ITE, Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic, strengthening opportunities for training, volunteering and youth development in the AI, Cybersecurity and Digital Trust space.

DDAS is more than an organisation, DDAS is a movement.

To our members, partners, volunteers, youth leaders and friends: thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we will continue to grow our community and strengthen Digital Defence for Singapore.

Join us as volunteers.
Join us as partners.
Join us as mentors.
Join us as Digital Defenders.

Happy 1st Anniversary, DDAS!

As part of DDAS’ commitment to strengthening Singapore’s Digital Defence pillar under Total Defence, DDAS conducts campus outreach sessions to equip youths with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to navigate Generative AI and the digital world safely, responsibly, and confidently. Through these engagements, DDAS aims to empower students to make informed choices online and develop healthy digital habits from a young age.

DDAS was at our Academic Member, ITE East’s campus where we conducted the Navigating AI & Digital Safety Workshop with Confidence Workshop to more than 40 ITE East students. DBS Foundation is one of the donors to the Digital for Life Fund and is a proud co-sponsor of Future Smart: Navigating AI & Digital Safety with Confidence by DDAS.

As technology continues to advance rapidly, DDAS’ programmes play an increasingly vital role in preparing students to be vigilant, resilient, and informed digital citizens. By building awareness early, youths are better positioned to thrive in a fast-changing digital society while contributing to Singapore’s collective security and resilience.

Strengthening digital confidence in the community through awareness and learning.

In conjunction with the DDASCares Mother’s Day celebrations, DDAS partnered with our Corporate Member Grab to organise a community engagement talk at Punggol Plaza, outside Koufu Foodcourt, aimed at promoting digital awareness and everyday cyber safety.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Ms Wan Ling Yeo, MP for Punggol Shore and Special Adviser to DDAS, who highlighted the importance of digital readiness and community resilience in today’s increasingly connected world.

Participants also benefited from insightful sharing sessions by Grab representatives. Julian Tan from Grab shared on Basic Cyber Hygiene and practical steps individuals can take to stay safe online, while Chew Yao Chung PMP from Grab conducted a helpful session titled Master the Grab App in Minutes, guiding participants on how to confidently and safely use digital services in their daily lives.

At DDAS, we believe digital defence starts with awareness, education, and empowering communities with the knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Thank you to our partners at Grab and everyone who joined us for the meaningful engagement session.

A proud and memorable occasion for the students of Institute of Technical Education East as they celebrate the successful completion of this important stage of their educational journey and take another significant step towards their future aspirations.

Representing DDAS at the graduation ceremony, DDAS Council Member Mr Victor Lim had the honour of presenting the DDAS Book Prizes to outstanding students in recognition of their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.

The ceremony served as a meaningful celebration of the students’ hard work and achievements, while also encouraging them to continue striving for excellence as they progress to higher levels of education or embark on new career opportunities.

Congratulations to all graduates and award recipients from ITE East. May this milestone mark the beginning of even greater accomplishments and success in the years ahead.

DDAS Member, Dr Terence Lau was at our Academic Member Institute of Technical Education West to conduct the session on “Digital Trust in Everyday Life: Staying Safe, Responsible, and Credible Online”.

In this session, he introduced more than 300 ITE students to the idea of digital trust and why it matters in school, work, and daily life. Students explored how trust is built and broken in digital spaces through common situations such as online shopping, social media use, messaging, digital payments, passwords, scams, and sharing personal information. The session also showed that digital trust is not only about cybersecurity, but also about personal responsibility, good judgement, respectful online conduct, and the ability to verify whether people, content, and platforms can be trusted.

During the session, students also participated in AI Quiz where they test their awareness on Generative AI tools safely and responsibly.
