When Ah Jie first came to us, he was overwhelmed — depressed, anxious, and running out of options. His bank and licensed moneylender debts were both substantial and recently incurred, and bankruptcy proceedings were looming.
After carefully reviewing his situation, we worked closely with his Licensed Moneylenders to negotiate manageable repayment plans and knew the best course of action for his banks was to make a special appeal to collaborate with Credit Counselling Singapore for a Debt Management Plan for his growing bank debt due to interests. This allowed him to address his Moneylenders and Bank debts in a structured and sustainable way, stabilizing his financial situation before things escalated further and avoid bankruptcy.
In today’s environment, where scams are rampant and misinformation is everywhere, it takes real courage to step forward and seek legitimate help. Ah Jie did exactly that.
We are incredibly proud of him — not just for taking action, but for overcoming the initial shock, loss, and depression that weighed heavily on him. He didn’t give up. He chose to face his situation head-on. With guidance, support, and his own determination, he found hope again.
Most importantly, he worked tirelessly to resolve his issues. His resilience is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is still a path forward.
Ah Jie, good job — and keep going. 💪
