✨ When communities rise, children thrive ✨

We were deeply encouraged by today’s sharing from Craig Greenfield, founder of Alongsiders International — a movement that has reached over 100,000 children across many nations.

Through powerful stories, we were reminded again why community-based support matters so deeply. Vulnerable children need people, relationships, and a place to belong.

💙One story that stayed with us:
A young girl in Cambodia, living with physical disability, could easily have been placed in an orphanage. Instead, she had an Alongsider to mentor and journey with her — a young person from a local church who committed to walking alongside her over the years.

🎉 Ten years on, her story looks very different. She is now completing a degree in psychology and serving with an international organisation — a powerful testimony of what consistent love, mentorship, and community can do.

Craig reminds us that when Jesus fed the 5,000 (Luke 9:13), He told His disciples, “You give them something to eat.” We, as disciples, are the ones who are to labour!

But what they found seemed small — just 5 loaves 🥖and 2 fish 🎣🐟. But in Jesus’ hands, it became more than enough.

In the same way, God invites us — His Church — not to look away from the needs around us, but to offer what He has placed in our hands 🙌🏼.

Our time 🕰️ . Our presence 🤲🏻. Our love 🫶🏻. Our networks 💞. Our homes 🏠 .

It’s amazing to see that when churches and communities rise up, what seems little can become life-changing for children!

We are praying for a world without orphans!

Join us at World Without Orphans, Singapore (WWO-SG)'s 2nd Learning Community, as our speaker Craig Greenfield shares his testimony, his experiences in Cambodia and beyond (Asia and Africa), and the global movement Alongsiders International which he founded.

Alongsiders International mobilizes and equips young Christian youth and young adults to walk alongside and disciple vulnerable children in their own communities.
