☕️ Something is brewing…

Over a delicious home-cooked dinner (thank you, Renfred Loh and Monica, for your wonderful hospitality and sumptuous dinner!), the WWO Singapore core team gathered to plan for Orphan Sunday this November.

We also had the joy of welcoming Grace Koh as the newest member of the WWO Singapore core team. Welcome, Grace! ❤️

Observed on the second Sunday of November (8 November this year), Orphan Sunday is an opportunity for churches across Singapore to remember God’s heart for vulnerable children and raise awareness that every child deserves to grow up in a loving family.

“God sets the lonely in families.” — Psalm 68:6

This November, we’d love to invite churches and Christian organisations to join us by:
💙 Praying intentionally for vulnerable children and families.
💙 Including worship, prayers or sermons that reflect God’s heart for children and families.
💙 Inviting someone who is enabling vulnerable children to be in loving families in sg or missions to share - eg Befrienders who are supporting vulnerable families, refugee ministries helping children in neighbouring countries, foster parents.

Together, let’s help more people discover God’s heart for every child.

More than 500 people across 58 countries came together for the WWO Community Gathering 2026.

Under the theme “Global Connections, Local Action,” participants joined online and in local groups to learn, pray, share stories, and reflect on practical next steps for children and families in their own communities.

The gathering reminded us that every child has a name, a story, and God-given potential. And it challenged us to keep building learning communities, inviting others to the table, and taking the next faithful step together.

Coffee, conversations, and Kingdom vision. ☕️✨

We were so blessed to spend time with the student leaders from Varsity Christian Fellowship at NUS. It was deeply encouraging to meet such a vibrant group of leaders with a heart to help their generation discover Godly purpose, serve others, and make a difference in the world.

Our conversation touched on what it means to live redemptively—to partner with God in bringing hope, healing, and restoration wherever He has placed us. Whether with vulnerable children, on campus, at home, or in our communities, each of us has the opportunity to reflect His love.

Thank you for the meaningful conversations. We left encouraged by your passion and faith, and we’re excited to see how God continues to work through this generation.

Glad that we could gather to hear the miraculous story of how Generations@tannery came out as a redemptive enterprise. Audrie Siew and Vivienne Ng represented us.

It was great that we could also meet old friends and get to know new ones in the mission space in Sg!

💙What happens when we say YES? 💙

Last night, we had the privilege of hosting a special screening of SOUND of HOPE: The Story of Possum Trot — in collaboration with Wesley Methodist Church (Singapore), Home For Good - SG, Epworth Foster Care!

This powerful film is based on the true story of a tiny church in Possum Trot, East Texas, who adopted and fostered children from the foster care system — and in doing so, changed the face of child protection in their community. Proof that you don't need to be big to make a big difference. With the right heart, *deep magic* can really happen!

We had Audrie Siew, SEA Ambassador for WWO and Bob Chia Han Hui, a key member of the core team of WWO-Sg share about the heart of WWO.

We were deeply honoured to have the heart behind the film with us — producers Joshua and Rebekah Weigel who flew all the way to Southeast Asia!

Our post-screening panel went even deeper:
💧Joshua & Rebekah Weigel — sharing the story behind the story and how they overcame many challenges to make this possible.
💧 Vivienne Ng — clinical psychologist, previously at leadership levels in the Ministry of Social and Family Development, herself a foster parent, sharing her touching stories of fostering from the trenches and the need for preventive efforts.

Moderated beautifully by Isaac Ong from Colours Foundation — thank you Isaac for holding the space with so much empathy.

To Isaac, friends in Wesley Methodist Church, the organising team, volunteers and everyone who stayed back for conversations — thank you. 💕

Nights like this remind us that every child deserves to know the hope of family. This is what we believe at World Without Orphans: When the community rises, children find home.

On Friday, July 17, 2026, the WWO Community Gatherings will bring leaders together across regions to grow in vision, learn from one another, and strengthen local connections for children and families.
