Invited by AMCA Partner Lab Korea Testing Certification Insititute (KTC) to share and update AMCA 208-18 Fan Energy Index (FEI).

KTC shared the update of Korean Standard KS B 6311and how FEG is in place.

We connected with members, industry stakeholders and saw firsthand how far AMCA's market acceptance has come. But the real value was in the exchange — sharing knowledge, answering sharp questions, and hearing honest feedback that pushes us all to think differently.

We are an International HVAC testing laboratory in Nusajaya, and we are looking for a senior technical professional to join us as a Hands-On Test Engineer with a clear, explicit roadmap to be groomed into our Laboratory Lead executing tests complying to international standards.

This is a genuinely unique hybrid role. It's not a desk job, and it's not mindless factory work:

The Physical Side — Setting up and preparing large HVAC equipment inside our test chambers. This is active, hands-on work — you should be someone who is comfortable working physically around large machinery. (We have forklifts and equipment to handle the heavy lifting.)

The Analytical Side — Moving into our air-conditioned control room to run computerized tests, read manufacturer catalogs and performance graphs, and work through technical data to troubleshoot issues.

What We Offer:

Basic Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 10,000 (Range depends on demonstration of maturity, stability, and the right long-term fit — not just years of experience)

- Full structured on-the-job training — exact product or industry experience is not required

- A permanent, stable role right here in Johor Bahru — no commuting, no relocation

What We're Looking For:

A technical background (Degree in any engineering or related field)

Comfortable working with computers as part of daily tasks

Someone who values long-term stability over short-term job hopping

The maturity and character to eventually lead a laboratory team

Team player who works well with colleagues in a close knit setting

It was a great pleasure to host the AMCA Asia Insite Seminar 2026 last week at the elegant Le Méridien Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City.

The seminar brought together AMCA members and industry consultants for a day of technical knowledge exchange — covering topics from AMCA Certified Ratings, Fan Energy Index (FEI), Fans & Systems, Optimizing Energy Conservation in Air Systems, Energy-Efficient EC Fans to Variable Air Volume systems.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers Mr. Kerry Dumicich, Mr. Jye Teoh, Mr. Mikhail Nosikov, and Mr. Santiago de los Reyes for sharing their expertise and driving meaningful conversations.

And to all our attendees, members, consultants, and developers, we thank you for being part of the day. Your presence and engagement made this event truly worthwhile.

Events like this are what move our community and our industry forward. We look forward to continuing these conversations and to seeing everyone again at our next gathering.

Kevin Faltin and Paul Fajnor took time to meet up with Singapore members during their short trip to lab in Johor, Malaysia, to update AMCA latest trend, and send personal invitation to the members to participate in the Annual Meeting in Phuket in end October 2026. It was a great catch up and we understand more about the members' needs and will look into developing solutions for the needs.

A great few days at the ASEAN RHVAC & Cleanroom Industry Expo (ARHC) 2026 in Bangkok!

We’re proud to have been part of this regional gathering as a supporting association and even more grateful for the many meaningful conversations that took place throughout the event.

A special highlight was our Executive Director, Mr CK So’s insightful keynote session, where he shared perspectives on AMCA’s role in advancing industry standards, along with key topics such as the Fan Energy Index (FEI) and its growing importance.

From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new industry peers, the exchange of ideas and opportunities made this experience truly worthwhile.

Had the honour presenting AMCA 208-18 to Prof. Rajkiran V Bilolikar, the Director of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), with the presence of Mr. K. Sudershan, Senior Consultant & Advisor and Ms Chinta Shree Sowmya. FEI was explained and how it can be applied to improve energy efficiency on fan selections.

ASCI, established in 1958, is the State designated authority to implement ECSBC. More collaborations and joint programs will be discussed, even beyond the boundary of India and ASCI is committed to provide more trainings and resources to improve the awareness of energy efficiency.
