Kevin Faltin and Paul Fajnor took time to meet up with Singapore members during their short trip to lab in Johor, Malaysia, to update AMCA latest trend, and send personal invitation to the members to participate in the Annual Meeting in Phuket in end October 2026. It was a great catch up and we understand more about the members' needs and will look into developing solutions for the needs.

Had the pleasure meeting up Ir. Ong Ching Loon from ASHRAE Malaysia Chapter, the immediate past Chairman of MS 2670-1:2014 Working Group in his office, had a very resourceful discussion and looking forward to the adoption of AMCA 208 : Fan Energy Index (FEI) in the revision of MS 2670

A great few days at the ASEAN RHVAC & Cleanroom Industry Expo (ARHC) 2026 in Bangkok!

We’re proud to have been part of this regional gathering as a supporting association and even more grateful for the many meaningful conversations that took place throughout the event.

A special highlight was our Executive Director, Mr CK So’s insightful keynote session, where he shared perspectives on AMCA’s role in advancing industry standards, along with key topics such as the Fan Energy Index (FEI) and its growing importance.

From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new industry peers, the exchange of ideas and opportunities made this experience truly worthwhile.

Had the honour presenting AMCA 208-18 to Prof. Rajkiran V Bilolikar, the Director of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), with the presence of Mr. K. Sudershan, Senior Consultant & Advisor and Ms Chinta Shree Sowmya. FEI was explained and how it can be applied to improve energy efficiency on fan selections.

ASCI, established in 1958, is the State designated authority to implement ECSBC. More collaborations and joint programs will be discussed, even beyond the boundary of India and ASCI is committed to provide more trainings and resources to improve the awareness of energy efficiency.

The highly anticipated Insite Seminar and the AMCA Asia Annual Regional Meeting will take place in September 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai. Along with many other technical subjects presented by distinguished speakers, the Insite Seminar covers everything from the introduction of Fan Energy Index (FEI) to the Fan Energy Efficiency Regulations Update. It was a privilege to be sharing with Singapore Green Building Council on Fan Energy Index (FEI) and how it can help to promote energy efficiency for fans in different green building requirements. Also, discussed the Ceiling Fan Energy Index (CFEI) for LDCF or HVLS and how to distinguish between AMCA Certified HVLS fans and non-certified alternatives, particularly regarding their performance claims.
