Narpani Tamil Toastmasters Club (NTTC), in collaboration with the Singapore Tamil Toastmasters Club (STCC), conducted a Tamil Language Public Speaking Workshop for Primary 5 and 6 Tamil students at Bendemeer Primary School.

The interactive session focused on building students’ confidence in speaking Tamil in public settings, while equipping them with practical public speaking skills such as speech organisation, delivery techniques, and effective communication strategies to support their oral communication development. The session also encouraged students to embrace the beauty of the Tamil language with confidence, clarity, and pride.

Established in 2006, NTTC has been actively nurturing Tamil-speaking communicators and leaders within the community, while creating platforms for individuals to strengthen both their language proficiency and public speaking confidence.

Narpani Pearavai extends our appreciation to Bendemeer Primary School, STTC, NTTC members and volunteers for contributing to this meaningful community initiative.

Narpani Pearavai is proud to be part of the newly established Indian Engagement and Development Initiative (INEI) — a collective effort to strengthen the Singapore Indian community through deeper collaboration, stronger support systems and the development of future leaders.

As the coordinating body for the Indian Activity Executive Committees (IAECs), Narpani Pearavai plays a key role in:
✅️Supporting vulnerable families through referrals and outreach
✅️Bridging community resources with those in need
✅️Empowering youth and nurturing the next generation of leaders
✅️Strengthening ground connections and partnerships with Indian organisations across our community

A significant milestone at the inaugural INEI Forum was the MOU signing with SINDA, marking a strengthened partnership to better support families and individuals through coordinated efforts and accessible support networks.

Our Narpani Pearavai youth members actively contributed at the forum by showcasing the programmes, initiatives, and outreach efforts they have been championing on the ground.

Together we move forward 💪

Chairman of Narpani Pearavai, Mr Ravindren Ganasen, PBM, together with Key Office Bearers, met with Minister of State, Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash over breakfast for a meaningful discussion on community needs, ground realities, and opportunities to strengthen our collective impact.

The conversation reflected our shared commitment to building an inclusive and responsive community, and to playing an active role in shaping initiatives under INEI.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations at the upcoming INEI forum.

Narpani Pearavai Networking Session with IAEC Chairpersons was held on 8 April 2026 at the People’s Association Headquarters.

About 150 participants came together for a meaningful and engaging session focused on strengthening our community efforts and partnerships. The programme featured an open dialogue and Q&A session with Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Education & Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, and Adviser to PA Narpani Pearavai, alongside with Mr Ravindren s/o Ganasen ( Ravindren Ganasen ), PBM, Chairman of PA Narpani Pearavai.

Council members also provided updates on key initiatives, including Chingay, Sorkalam and the Narpani Tamil Toastmasters Club. The Narpani Pearavai Youth Chairperson highlighted ongoing youth initiatives and engagement efforts, alongside the introduction and appointment of the new team.

Presented by the Vice-Chairpersons, the session also reaffirmed Narpani Pearavai’s focus on:
🔹 Strengthening the Singapore Indian Community
🔹 Youth & Leadership Development
🔹 Outreach and Engagement

There was also a sharing by VETRI-IAEC representative on how AI has been creatively integrated into recent programmes — demonstrating how innovation can enhance community engagement in meaningful and accessible ways.

Together, these efforts continue to build a stronger, more connected and forward-looking community.

This month, we spotlight the IAECs of Marsiling–Yew Tee GRC.
From large-scale sports collaborations and vibrant cultural celebrations to impactful social initiatives and active youth engagement, the IAECs continue to bring people together across generations and backgrounds.

These efforts reflect a shared commitment to unity, resilience and progress — even in the face of changing times. Together, they are not just organising programmes, but building meaningful connections and shaping a stronger, more inclusive community.

1. PA is expanding the Neighbourhood Kakis initiatives to keep seniors socially active and meaningfully engaged in the community.

2. PA has piloted neighbourhood Kakis and it has been successful - 1,400 seniors signed up, over 30k tasks completed

3. We will expand to all 97 constituencies by the end of this year, and we will do so through the PA Community App.
