📚 June is here, and Pride Month has arrived! 🌈✨

At Pelangi Pride Centre, we are celebrating Pride all month long with stories, community, and shared space. This is a time for visibility, connection, and joy, and we are so happy to be sharing it with you in the way we know best through books and a welcoming place to gather. 💖

We will be open on three Saturdays in June, on the 6th, 13th, and 20th. Come by to browse, discover something new, or simply spend time in the space and soak in the Pride Month energy. 🌈

On 27 June, the library will be closed as we will be out at Pink Dot. If you are able to be there, come find us and celebrate Pride together in the community. 🌟

Here’s to a month of q***r stories, joy, and visibility. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈✨

In honour of International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) this year, we took time to reflect on the importance of safety, dignity, and the right to simply be, alongside communities in Singapore, and around the world.

This year’s theme, At the Heart of Democracy, reminds us that inclusion is not separate from democracy. It is part of how communities are built and sustained, grounded in dignity, equity, and the ability for everyone to participate fully in society.

As we continue to stand against homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, and other forms of exclusion, we remain committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive space where people can feel safe, seen, and at ease. At Pelangi Pride Centre, this takes shape in quiet and everyday ways. Through the books we curate, the care behind how the space is run, and Saturday afternoons where anyone who needs a calm, private corner can find one. Whether you are here to read, rest, or simply step away from the rush outside, you are welcome. 💖

This space continues to exist because of a community that grows with care, intention, and quiet commitment.

📚 May is here, and we are one step closer to Pride Month. 🌈

Pelangi Pride Centre continues to be a space for stories, rest, and community as we move into the mid year stretch. Whether you are dropping by to browse, borrow, return, or simply spend some time in a familiar corner, we are always happy to see you. 💖

We will be open on all Saturdays in May except 2 May, which is Labour Day. On that day, the library will be closed as we take a moment to rest and to honour our volunteers, whose ongoing care and dedication keep this space running in both visible and behind the scenes ways.

As we head towards Pride Month in June, we look forward to sharing more stories, connections, and community with you in the weeks ahead. 🌟

📚 This Labour Day, we celebrate the people who make this space possible. 🌈

Pelangi Pride Centre has been running for a long time because of the steady care, passion, and commitment of our volunteers. From keeping the shelves in order to welcoming every visitor who walks through our doors, their quiet dedication is what keeps this library alive and growing. 💖

Beyond our library, we also want to recognise the sheer volume of volunteers who continue to support and sustain Singapore’s q***r communities in many different ways. So much of this work happens quietly, consistently, and with deep care, often without much visibility, and we are grateful to be part of that wider ecosystem of support.

To honour and thank our own volunteers, the library will be closed on 2 May 2026. This is a small pause to recognise the many hours and heart that go into sustaining this space.

For readers, please note that all books due on 2 May will be automatically extended to 9 May.

If you are feeling inspired to join us, we would love to welcome you. We are always open to new energy, ideas, and helping hands. You can find the sign up link in our bio. 🌟

Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and for believing in what this space stands for.

Locked and ready to roll... Pelangi Pride Centre's Ageing Forward Cycle 4: Arrive. Connect. Belong.

Ageing Forward is a 6-sessions psychosocial programme, created for LGBTQ individuals aged 40 and above to connect, share experiences, and journey together through meaningful conversations around life transitions, belonging, and personal growth. It is grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and the belief that shared stories can reduce isolation and strengthen community bonds.

Across the sessions, we will work through key themes such as:
• Safety, survival, and life experiences
• Identity, body, and belonging
• Meaning, integration, and legacy

For those who are keen to explore finding community through this new cycle, please feel free to register your interest via this link:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1988092742912

Spaces are limited, so please confirm your interest by Mon, 4 May and we will confirm your attendance by return mail.

📚 April is here, and just like that, we’re stepping into the second quarter of the year. 🌈

If the past few months have felt full or fast, consider this your reminder to slow down a little. Pelangi Pride Centre is always here as a space to pause, reconnect, and spend time with stories that matter. 💖

We’ll be open on all Saturdays in April, so drop by whenever you need a breather, a familiar corner, or something new to read.

See you in the space. 🌟

📚 Thinking of donating books to Pelangi Pride Centre? Please contact us first!

Over the years, we have received many parcels from generous donors, sometimes with no return address, like this one pictured 📦, and often containing books that are not mainly intended for our community. While we deeply appreciate the thought and support, it is important for us to manage donations effectively and ensure that the books we receive align with our mission of supporting our community.

Before sending us your books, please reach out to us via Instagram/Facebook or email so that we can coordinate and make sure your donation makes the biggest impact. Thank you for helping us keep our library meaningful and relevant! 🌈💜
