🔥 Meaningful Fire Safety Sharing with Kebun Baru Villas Residents’ Network
On 13 June at 8.30am, during the residents’ breakfast session at Kebun Baru Villas Residents’ Network (RN), we had a fruitful and meaningful fire safety sharing with residents.
It was a wonderful session where residents openly shared their concerns, questions, and experiences relating to fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Some of the key topics discussed included:
✅ Whether fire blankets are effective
✅ What residents should do during a fire emergency
✅ Fire risks relating to EV charging and electrical appliances
✅ How to prevent or reduce fire spread in terrace housing areas
✅ Latest fire safety updates and SCDF response considerations
✅ Important information to provide when calling 995
✅ Electrical fire risks and how residents can stay alert
Through the discussion, residents gained a better understanding of how simple awareness, early action, and community readiness can make a real difference during an emergency.
We are also very encouraged that around 20 residents expressed their willingness to step forward as fire volunteers. This is a strong sign of community spirit and neighbourly care. ❤️
Moving forward, we hope to work closely with the residents and partners to explore more training opportunities, such as:
🔥 Fire extinguisher familiarisation
🩹 First aid awareness
❤️ AED awareness
🚨 Emergency response knowledge
🏘️ Community-based fire prevention sharing
These future sessions can be organised together with breakfast mornings or combined community activities, so more residents can learn, participate, and support one another.
C2E is not only about responding to emergencies. It is also about building trust, sharing knowledge, strengthening preparedness, and bringing residents together before an emergency happens.
A safer community begins with residents who care, ask questions, learn together, and look out for one another.
Thank you to Kebun Baru Villas Residents’ Network and all residents who joined the discussion. Together, we can continue to build a safer, more prepared, and more resilient Kebun Baru community. 💪
