Closing the loop on marine plastic pollution while transforming community health. 🌊

Through our end-to-end circular operations, Seven Clean Seas collects, sorts, shreds, and upcycles recovered ocean plastic into high-value, durable infrastructure, including recycled roof tiles engineered to replace hazardous asbestos roofs in vulnerable coastal communities.

Despite global bans due to severe health risks, asbestos remains a common building material in Indonesia. By converting low-value plastic waste into non-toxic, weather-resistant roofing, we deliver dual impact: locking plastic permanently out of the marine environment while protecting frontline families.

We operate 9 river barriers globally to intercept plastic while it is still moving through waterways. Now, we're raising supports to deploy and operate another river barrier.

But a barrier doesn't work alone. It takes people to monitor it, collect the waste, sort the recovered material, and keep the system running.

We already operate 9 river barriers globally, intercepting plastic while it is still moving through waterways and preventing it from travelling further downstream.

Now, we want to add one more.

We’re raising support to build our next river barrier and the people and operations needed to keep it working, from collection and transport to sorting and recovery.

What if we stopped plastic before it reached the ocean? 🌊

Every bottle, bag, and piece of packaging that enters a river has somewhere to go. Downstream, to the coast, and eventually into the sea.

That’s why we’re raising US$25,000 to help fund a new river barrier, giving us another chance to intercept plastic upstream before it becomes ocean pollution.

A river barrier is only one part of the solution, but it creates an important point of intervention: catch it, recover it, sort it, and keep it from travelling further and we want to build this one together.

The ocean has carried enough of our waste.

Can we actually solve ocean plastic pollution?
Maybe it’s whether enough of us are willing to keep working on it…

There’s no single fix for ocean plastic. It takes prevention, recovery, better waste systems, long-term investment and people willing to keep showing up.

We’re building river barriers, supporting recovery crews, developing circular solutions and continuing to test what works. We believe progress is possible when environmental action is backed by human action.

The ocean is not a landfill and we’re clearly not done fighting for it.
