With the main objective of bringing the World of Miniature Football to the community, TFAS hopes that both old and new enthusiasts could come together and revive the popularity and excitement of Sports Table Football (aka 'Subbuteo') to Singapore & Asia! Table Football Association of Singapore (TFAS) ... a little about its history
The Association came about because of a group of long-lost friends
got together again, after many years, to play the game/sport they had loved when they were young. So the search begins ...
At the same time, they also had the thought of spreading their love for the game/sport to the new generation, the generation growing up on electronic and console games. They shared the common goal to help moderate their overly dependence on such devices to provide their entertainment and passion. During early 2009, Table Football Association of Singapore was registered with the Registry of Society (ROS). This would give a platform of both legitimacy and trust to the public. The Association has grown, slightly over a decade, we have seen players, both young and old, new and existing coming back with the new gusto to take on this sport again. However, there are also those whom have dwindled away with other commitments. Nevertheless, we hope that mre would return and even more would join us and bring Sports Table Football to its glory days again... like in the 1980s and 1990s. Thus far, TFAS, together with NOSK (Japan) and ATFA (Australia) have formed the Confederation of Asian Sports Table Football Associations (CASTFA), with the main objective to grow the sport in Asia. The Asian Cup Tournament has been rotating among these 3 countries since 2015, we are very proud that TFAS, with the Singapore National Team of Table Football players, has been able to retain the Asian Cup National title consecutively for the last 5 years since its inauguration.
