🇸🇬 Honouring Those Who Keep Singapore Safe!

CDAS was privileged to support and participate in the SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony 2026 (Zone 3), organised by the 新加坡中华总商会 SCCCI.

We thank Coordinating Minister for Public Services & Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, for officiating the ceremony and presenting the Certificate of Appreciation to CDAS President Mr. Ricky Loo, and extend our appreciation to SCCCI for bringing together the business community to reaffirm our shared commitment to Singapore's defence and resilience.

The ceremony was a meaningful reminder that Singapore's peace, security and prosperity are built on the unwavering commitment of our National Servicemen, SAF personnel, and the collective support of employers who enable them to fulfil their National Service responsibilities.

As a Trade Association representing the container depot, logistics, transportation and haulage sectors, we recognise that national resilience is a shared responsibility. Just as our industry plays a vital role in keeping Singapore's supply chains moving, we are equally committed to supporting our NSmen as they answer the call to serve our nation.

Together, let us continue to support our National Servicemen, strengthen Total Defence, and contribute towards a safe, secure and prosperous Singapore.

CDAS, represented by President Mr. Ricky Loo, is proud to support the launch of the new National WSH Campaign 2026, “I Choose Safety”, which serves as a timely reminder that workplace safety starts with every individual, every decision, and every action. 🦺💪

Together with the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress and Singapore National Employers Federation, the Workplace Safety and Health Council launched the new National WSH Campaign on 15 May 2026 at the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub.

Following the successful three-year run of the “Reporting Saves Lives” Campaign, the new Campaign features a new theme - “I Choose Safety. Together We Care.” - reflecting the next stage in our collective WSH journey, strengthening a culture of care, ownership and shared responsibility at the workplace.

In his opening remarks at the launch event, Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash encouraged employers and workers to continue placing safety at the centre of how they lead and work. The Campaign also reinforces the calls to action - “Pause. Check. Make It Safe.”

For the container depot, logistics, transportation, and haulage sectors, safety is more than a requirement. It is a shared responsibility and a commitment to protecting lives, strengthening workplaces, and ensuring sustainable operations.

As an industry, we must continue working together to foster a stronger safety culture, empower our workers to speak up and make safe choices, and reinforce the importance of looking out for one another every day.

CDAS remains committed to supporting Workplace Safety and Health initiatives and partnering the industry to build safer and healthier workplaces for all. Let us all choose safety, today and every day. 🚛✨
