Judge # 4 - Jennifer Reding (Sat, 27 Jun - SSP)

Jennifer has always loved cats and having attended her first cat show as a spectator in 1986, thought it looked like a great deal of fun! She obtained her first pedigreed breeding cat, a Birman, in 1988 and went on to acquire her first Japanese Bobtail, a neuter, in 1990. She began breeding Japanese Bobtails the following year and bred both breeds for several years, under the prefix "Janipurr".

Eventually settling with Japanese Bobtails, Jennifer showed in both CFA and TICA at first, earning numerous titles. Choosing to stick with CFA by the mid 90s, she since has added multiple Grands, Regional Winners, National Breed winners, and a few National Winners to her repertoire.

Fortunate to be able to import two males from Japan in 1996, one turned out to be a Black Smoke, leading to her next venture. Together with a friend she had been working with, they decided to register a new cattery name—Ginchika—to breed silver and smoke Japanese Bobtails, a color which was accepted but as yet had not obtained any wins. Ginchika had numerous firsts in the silver/smoke division—Grand, Regional Winner, Breed Winner, National Winner and Distinguished Merit. Ginchika today has over 100 Grand Champions /Grand Premiers in CFA, and has been awarded a Tier 3 Superior title.

Jennifer's breeding experience extends to Oriental Shorthairs, having bred the first Bicolor OSH to Grand in CFA. She has also shown Cornish Rex, Singapura, Colorpoint Shorthair, Abyssinian, British Shorthair, Himalayan, Persian, Exotic, Maine C***s, American Curls and a Norwegian Forest Cat. Meeting her husband Mark at a cat show in 2006, the couple married in 2013. With his help she applied to and was accepted into the CFA Judging Program in 2014, and is now an Approved Allbreed judge. In addition to the United States, she has also judged in Asia, Australia, and Europe.

We're happy to welcome Jennifer to Singapore for the first time as a judge - join us in presenting the best Singapawreans in show!

Introducing Judge #3 - Jan Rogers, 27 Jun SAT (SSP)

Always an animal lover, Jan started her Birman breeding program in 1987 with CFA. She began judging in 1999, and throughout the program was privileged to show, breed and handle several breeds of cats, including Persians, Maine C***s, Abyssinians, American Shorthairs, Ocicat, Japanese Bobtails, Chartreux, Orientals and Siamese, along with American Wirehairs, a breed she still loves and hopes to continue.

Married, with no 2 legged children, Jan and her husband reside in Stephenville, Texas with a variety of cats, dogs, birds, and fish and recently chickens. A graduate of Purdue University, Jan obtained a degree in Agricultural Economics before continuing with a Masters degree in Business Administration/Finance (MBA) from Indiana University.

Through the judging program Jan has had the privilege to judge for many associations across the world. She is grateful for the opportunity to spread the word of pedigreed cats, and the joy of the cat fancy in many countries.

Her first time judging in Singapore, Jan will also be presenting a Breed Showcase on Sunday, 28 June at the Asia Cat Expo!

Introducing Judge #2 - Chung Li Ling, Chloe

We're pleased to announce that Chloe is returning to judge for us once more, this time on Sunday, 28 June!

Her love and devotion for animals started years ago when she began showing dogs in 1993 with Faye Mui – her first Pembroke Welsh Corgi. In the pursuit of this passion, she became an all breed groomer and began exhibiting and breeding British Shorthairs in 2002.

Chloe achieved a National Win with a cat from her own breeding; achieving 8th Best Cat, Best of breed nationally and also Best Cat in the Asia Division in 2007.

She has also actively exhibited American Shorthairs, American Curls, Colorpoint Shorthairs, Exotic Shorthairs, Maine C***s, Persians, Russian Blues and Sphynxes.
Chloe began her judging career in 2011 and counts herself as fortunate to have judged in a multitude of countries such as China, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Germany and the United States.
