✨ Celebrating abundance and togetherness this Lunar New Year!

Our iC2 family came together for a vibrant festive gathering, starting with a lively lohei as we tossed high and called out well-wishes for luck and prosperity. We were also delighted by three Gods of Fortune spreading cheer with red packets filled with chocolate gold coins and lots of smiles.

🌟 February is Low Vision Awareness Month
Children can also experience low vision due to conditions like congenital cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, or genetic eye disorders. With the right support such as early intervention, visual skills training, assistive technology and tailored learning strategies, they can learn and thrive just like their sighted peers.

At iC2 PrepHouse, we customise programmes to each child’s visual condition so they can access learning effectively in mainstream or special education settings.

Christine was diagnosed with congenital cataracts at three months old. She began early intervention with iC2 PrepHouse soon after. With ongoing visual skills habilitation, she now attends a special school where she enjoys reading and solving simple puzzles, growing more confident each day.

Cancer took Stephen’s sight by 23 months. With early intervention at iC2 PrepHouse, he learned to explore the world through touch, a foundation that helped him read Braille independently by six.

🌟 January is Braille Literacy Month!
Did you know Braille is a tactile writing system that empowers people who are blind or visually impaired to read and write independently?

Developed by Louis Braille in the 19th century, it uses patterns of raised dots to represent letters, numbers, and even music!

Braille opens doors to education, employment, and independence. Let’s celebrate accessibility and inclusion this month! 💙
