๐ February is Low Vision Awareness Month
Children can also experience low vision due to conditions like congenital cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, or genetic eye disorders. With the right support such as early intervention, visual skills training, assistive technology and tailored learning strategies, they can learn and thrive just like their sighted peers.
At iC2 PrepHouse, we customise programmes to each childโs visual condition so they can access learning effectively in mainstream or special education settings.
Christine was diagnosed with congenital cataracts at three months old. She began early intervention with iC2 PrepHouse soon after. With ongoing visual skills habilitation, she now attends a special school where she enjoys reading and solving simple puzzles, growing more confident each day.
Your donation ensures that more children like Christine receive the specialised support they need to learn, grow and thrive.
