This morning, the West Coast C2E participated in the West Coast Jurong West GRC Community Resilience Day @ Taman Jurong CC.

This morning, West Coast C2E and CERT volunteers participated at the Health Together Carnival @ West Coast event to promote the Safe Heart program and encourage residents to learn CPR and AED basic life-saving skills and recruitment of Cert members .

This afternoon, West Coast C2E gathered 30 residents to participate in a Customized CPR & AED RPP training course conducted by SCDF at West Coast CC.

Following the recent residential fire at Block 711, Clementi St 2, level 10 on 4th January 2026, West Coast C2E collaborated with the 1st SCDF Division to organize a Fire Blitz outreach initiative at the affected block.

The initiative was aimed to raise residents' awareness of fire safety measures. During the outreach, West Coast C2E actively engaged with residents, distributing fire safety brochures and post-fire guides. This direct engagement facilitate fire safety education for resident while assuring support from West Coast Constituency.

Happy New Year!

On 29 December 2025, SCDF held a Community First Responders Award at 1st SCDF Division.

The award was presented to the following awardees for their courageous and selfless actions in helping to extinguish a fire.

Fire incident at Clementi West St 2: Mr Heng Peng Soon, Mr Sajib Ahamed, Mr Goy Thuan Heng, Mr Chua Tiam Seng and Mr Toh Chee Eng.

For the Fire Incident at Blk 728: Mr Sheikh Osman, Mr Raymond, Mr Bernard and Mr Goy Thuan Heng.

Their quick thinking, bravery, and willingness to put others' safety before their own exemplifies the true spirit of community service.

On 14 December 2025, West Coast C2E held a CPR &AED session at West Coast CC, Theatrette.

This is a follow up from the West Coast Emergency Day which is held on the 16 November 2025.

A total of 15 participants attended the half-day training course. They have gained essential CPR & AED knowledge and learned how to respond during an emergency situation.

On 16 Nov 2025, West Coast C2E collaborated with Coast Park RN to hold an Emergency Preparedness (EP) Day at Blk 801, West Coast Crescent!

400 residents came down and participated in the fire evacuation exercise as well as learn useful tips on what to do during an emergency.

Mr Desmond Lee, Adviser for West Coast-Jurong West GRC GROs unveiled the SafeHeart programme at West Coast where he aims to have at least one member of each household to know how to do CPR&AED.
