As parents, we have a stake in our daughters’ development into well-rounded and responsible youths. The NYGH Parent Support Group believes that by working closely with our daughters’ educators, we can help them to stretch their talent and realise their full potential. Our mission is to:

• promote a positive partnership among parents, the school and the Alumni through interaction and organisation

of activities that are mutually beneficial;

• provide opportunities for parents to volunteer, share or contribute their knowledge and time to the school for the benefit of our girls; and

• provide opportunities for parents to network and support each other. Your contribution, be it your time, skills, contacts and/or financial support, will enable you to establish closer ties with the school and gain a better insight into your daughters’ development.

Grateful to have attended the official opening of Brahm Centre Singapore @ Labrador 💙

It was both heartening and eye-opening to see the incredible breadth of work Brahm Centre does for the community - supporting teens, parents, seniors, domestic helpers, caregivers and so many others through programmes that nurture mental well-being, resilience and connection.

What stood out most was the heart behind it all. A genuine desire to meet people where they are and support them through the different seasons of life. ❤️

We’re especially grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Brahm Centre and Adj Prof Angie Chew, CEO of Brahm Centre, to bring meaningful programmes and talks to our NYGH community.

And what a lovely surprise to meet an NYGH alumna interning at Brahm Centre! 💙 It was wonderful to see one of our own contributing to such meaningful work and giving back to the wider community. A little moment of NYGH pride! 🥰

Congratulations to Brahm Centre on the opening of your beautiful new space at Labrador! May it be a place where many more lives are touched, supported and strengthened in the years ahead. 🌿💝

This National Day, PSG spent a few intense hours putting patriotism into action at Willing Hearts. From the relentless pace of meat cutting and vegetable preparation to the heavy lifting of tray washing, every minute was a lesson in humility and teamwork.

We often teach our children about community spirit, but today we lived it through sweat and service. National Day is about celebrating our progress, but true nation-building means ensuring our most vulnerable neighbors are fed and cared for. We leave today with tired arms, full hearts, and a renewed commitment to keeping Singapore’s heartbeat of empathy alive. 🇸🇬❤️

这个国庆日，我们PSG选择用行动来诠释爱国主义。在Willing Hearts厨房里，我们全身心地投入了几个小时的紧张劳动：从马不停蹄地切肉、备菜，到体力消耗极大的洗托盘，每一个环节都让我们体会到了奉献的谦逊与团队的力量。

我们常对孩子们谈起社区精神，而今天，我们用汗水和行动亲自践行了这一个美德。国庆日不仅是庆祝国家的繁荣进步，更是为了确保社会上有需要的人能得到关怀与温饱。今天虽然身体疲惫，但我们的内心无比充实。新加坡的未来不仅取决于繁华的建设，更取决于这份休戚与共的同理心。我们将带着这份感恩与承诺，继续传递温情。

PSG work takes us beyond organising events for the school - it also gives us invaluable opportunities to grow as parents and bring what we learn back to our school community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to attend the PSG West Zone Leaders Connect 2026, where much thought and effort went into bringing PSG leaders from different schools together to build stronger networks and a supportive community for our children.

We were privileged to hear from Dr John Wong, Associate Professor and Senior Consultant Psychiatrist, who reminded us that the greatest gift we can give our children is not tighter control, but a stronger relationship. His insights, together with the sobering real-life stories and statistics on youth mental health, were a powerful reminder that empathy, emotional resilience and genuine connection matter more than ever.

Mr Shem Yeo from TOUCH communities also shared with us tips to parent in the digital age.

The morning concluded with a heartening fireside chat including leaders from MOE, reminding us that supporting our youth is truly a shared effort. We left inspired, encouraged and even more committed to journeying alongside our children and bringing these valuable lessons back to our NYGH community. 💙

PSG 的工作，不仅仅是为学校筹办活动，更让我们在陪伴孩子成长的路上获得了宝贵的学习与成长机会，并将所学所感带回我们的学校社区。

我们非常感谢有机会参与 2026 年西区学校家长协作团队领袖交流会（PSG West Zone Leaders Connect 2026）。筹办单位投入了许多心思与努力，汇聚来自不同学校的 PSG 领袖，建立更紧密的联系与支持网络，营造一个能够给孩子们支持的成长环境。

我们很荣幸聆听了高级顾问精神科医生兼副教授 Dr John Wong 的分享。他提醒我们，给予孩子最珍贵的礼物，并不是更严格的控制，而是一段更深厚的亲子关系。结合真实个案和青少年心理健康的数据，他让我们深刻体会到，在陪伴孩子成长的过程中，同理心、情绪韧性以及真诚的连接，比以往任何时候都更加重要。

TOUCH Communities 的Mr Shem Yeo 也与我们分享了数码时代的亲子沟通心得。

活动最后的炉边交流环节，邀请了教育部（MOE）领导及相关伙伴参与，让我们感受到培育下一代需要整个社会共同努力。我们带着满满的启发与鼓励回到 NYGH 社区，也更加坚定地继续陪伴孩子们成长，与家长们携手同行。💙

A few hours of countless stitches and lots of laughter this morning at our PV bonding over crochet session in school. 🧶❤️

We’re delighted to have talented crochet lovers coming together to share their passion while creating a beautiful 3D heart-shaped key-rings.

More than just a handmade keepsake, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn and create lasting memories together as a team.

短短几个小时，无数针织的心意，满满的欢笑与温暖！🧶❤️

这场钩针编织交流工作坊，让一群热爱钩织的妈妈们齐聚一堂，一边分享对钩织的热情，一边亲手完成精美的立体爱心钥匙圈。

每一针、每一线，不仅编织出独一无二的手作纪念品，更串起了彼此的交流、学习与友谊，留下了一段珍贵而美好的回忆。

What an insightful and heartwarming morning last Saturday at our Parenting Talk on “How to Respond to Bullying” with Associate Professor Angie Chew from .

Through engaging discussions, real-life examples and practical strategies, parents explored how they can better support their children through bullying and friendship challenges.

A simple mindfulness exercise on the power of words became one of the most memorable moments of the morning, leaving many of us deeply moved.

Thank you to all the parents who spent your Saturday morning with us, asking thoughtful questions and making the discussions so rich.

The conversations and questions continued well beyond the session, so our group photo only managed to capture about half of our wonderful audience. 🥹

A heartfelt bouquet of thanks as well to our amazing PSG volunteers, whose teamwork and behind-the-scenes efforts made the morning run so smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!

多么充实又温暖的一个上午！感谢大家参与由副教授 Angie Chew 主讲的家长讲座 - 《如何应对校园霸凌》。

透过深入浅出的分享、真实案例以及实用的应对策略，家长们一起探讨如何更好地陪伴孩子面对校园霸凌及处理同伴关系的挑战。

其中，一个关于语言力量的正念练习，成为当天最令人难忘的环节之一，让在场许多家长都深受触动。

衷心感谢每一位在星期六上午抽空出席的家长，踊跃提问、积极交流，让整个讲座充满了丰富而有意义的讨论。

讲座结束后，大家仍意犹未尽，继续留下来交流和提问，因此当天讲座结束后的大合照只拍到了约一半的出席家长。🥹

同时，也要向我们优秀的 PSG 家长义工团队献上最诚挚的感谢！正因为大家齐心协力、默默付出，活动才能顺利圆满进行。没有你们，就没有今天活动的成功！

🌿 HLE #3 – Back-to-School Morning Walk at East Coast Park ☀️

What a wonderful way to wrap up the school holidays!

On the final weekend before the new school term, families came together for our third Healthy Living Exercise (HLE) activity of 2026 at East Coast Park. Blessed with beautiful weather and a refreshing sea breeze, we enjoyed a leisurely walk from East Coast Lagoon Food Village to Siglap Canal Lookout Deck before heading back together.

To end the morning, some participants stayed on for refreshments at the Food Village, enjoying sugarcane juice or other cold drinks while chatting and getting to know one another. It was a simple but meaningful way to stay active, strengthen friendships, and recharge before the new school term.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us. We wish all our girls a wonderful start to the new school term and look forward to seeing you at our next HLE activity! 💙

🌿 HLE 第三场 - 东海岸公园开学前晨间健走 ☀️

在开学前的最后一个周末，我们一起度过了一个轻松愉快的早晨！

2026 年第三场 Healthy Living Exercise (HLE) 活动在东海岸公园举行。伴随着晴朗的天气和凉爽的海风，家长和孩子们从东海岸人工湖美食村出发，步行至实乞纳水道观景台（Siglap Canal Lookout Deck），欣赏海景后，再悠闲地步行返回美食村。

活动结束后，部分家长和孩子留在美食村享用甘蔗汁或其他清凉饮品，一边轻松聊天，一边交流互动。这不仅是一场健走活动，更是大家在开学前放松身心、联络感情、迎接新学期的美好时光。

感谢每一位参与的家长和孩子。祝愿所有 NYGH 的女孩们新学期顺顺利利，也期待下一场 HLE 活动再与大家相聚！💙

Happy Father’s Day to all our NYGH dads!

Today, we celebrate the many fathers who quietly and faithfully support our girls by volunteering their time, lending a helping hand at PSG events, carrying tables and chairs, setting up venues, driving logistics, or simply showing up whenever they are needed.

Behind so many successful PSG activities are fathers who give generously of themselves, not for recognition, but out of love for their daughters and our school community.

“The strongest hands are often the ones working quietly in the background. Thank you, dads, for carrying so much - so that our girls can soar.” ❤️

Foster Family BBQ + fun! ❤️ We also took the opportunity to celebrate our May & June babies 🎂🥳

We are so grateful for our foster families who open their hearts and homes to our foster girls. Yet as we give, we often receive so much more in return - friendship, community and bonds that last a lifetime ❤️
