This conversation was different.

Our July Kopitiam tackled a topic we’d been putting off for a while: AI & Actors — Now What?

It was messy. Human. There was an undercurrent of uncertainty, fear, and vulnerability.

We came into this conversation knowing that no one has the “right” answer. We had different perspectives in the same room, and not everyone agreed.

As performers, as creatives, we all look for the human factor. The heart & soul bared through our storytelling. We strive to discover what makes us different and unique, to “AI-proof” ourselves and our careers.

In a society which is moving towards being AI-ready, and embracing the rapid changes in technology, perhaps it is also worth taking a moment to reflect on what the value of our human-ness is.

Thank you to our featured guests Daniel Yam (danielyam.creates) and Audrey Lim (audreyisaudrey) for sharing their time and perspectives with us, and to everyone who came and contributed to the conversation.

Actors’ Kopitiam: Branding & Marketing Yourself as an Actor ☕
