🔥🥢 FORTY SENIORS, ELEVEN TABLES, PLENTY TO ENJOY!
💛 48th Mookata Experience | Lions Club of Singapore Bedok

Bring your appetite, choose your favourites and enjoy the company! Our 40 seniors from Lions Befrienders Clementi 344 Active Ageing Centre joined us at Dajie Makan Place, 344 Bedok Road, for a delicious gathering around the mookata grills. 🍲✨

Our Lions welcomed the seniors and guided them to tables of three or four. Across eleven tables, we catered to everyone’s preferences: six tables chose to enjoy beef, while five preferred to go without. With everyone comfortably seated, we brought out the platters and got dinner going! 🔥😋

🍗🦐 A TASTY START—WITH MORE TO CHOOSE!

Each table started with a Surf & Turf platter and a Meat Lovers Delight platter, with chicken in various flavours making up all the meat on these two initial platters. We also served wagyu beef to the six tables that requested beef. 🥩

Then we invited our seniors to explore the menu: “Let us know what you fancy!” 🥢💬

Prawns, scallops, truffle prawn paste and other available menu favourites followed as the seniors made their requests. Our team kept the food coming and helped everyone enjoy their preferred dishes. Every table could shape its own little feast! 🦐🐚❤️

A familiar weekly treat can give our seniors something lovely to look forward to—a comforting flavour, a little enjoyment and a reminder that their community remembers them. 💛

Today, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok continued this meaningful tradition through our 98th Weekly Buns Distribution for 80 seniors at Lions Befrienders Mei Ling Active Ageing Centre. With each distribution, we renew our commitment to bringing practical care and warmth into their everyday lives. 🦁❤️

🏡 A TEMPORARY MOVE, A CONTINUING COMMITMENT

As the Mei Ling Centre undergoes renovations, we have moved the buns distribution to:

We will continue distributing the buns at this temporary venue until the end of December 2026. Throughout this period, we will keep this weekly tradition going so our seniors can continue enjoying their treats. 🤗

Today, our seniors enjoyed freshly baked Black Sesame Buns from Bread Town @ Bt Batok. Their fragrant sesame aroma and soft bread added a delicious touch to the day, offering a satisfying treat to savour at leisure. 🖤✨

We warmly thank Bread Town @ Bt Batok, a halal-certified bakery, for consistently delivering quality buns for our seniors. Your care in the baking adds something special to these weekly moments of enjoyment. 👨‍🍳💕

🍱💛 277 Sundays of Showing Up, One Doorstep at a Time

A knock on the door. A friendly greeting. A warm meal within reach. Small gestures like these help us keep care close to our seniors’ homes. 🏡❤️

Today, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok continued our 277th Hot Meals Distribution, serving 125 seniors at Blk 22, 23 & 24 Chai Chee Road.

🦁 Club President Tan Zu Er led 16 Lions, alongside 4 energetic volunteers, to bring meals and a personal touch to the neighbourhood. Our team delivered most of the bento meals directly to seniors’ doorsteps, taking that extra step so they could enjoy lunch in the comfort of home. 🤝🍱

At the Blk 23 void deck, we also welcomed seniors who chose to collect their meals in person. Each collection gave us another opportunity to exchange greetings and share a little warmth. 😊💬

We purchased today’s bento meals from Mari Mari Seafood, a halal-certified caterer that consistently delivers its best for our seniors. Thank you for helping us put a satisfying lunch into their hands. 🙏✨

To our Lions and volunteers, thank you for giving your time, carrying the meals and bringing your hearts into every delivery. Every staircase, corridor and doorstep connects us to someone who matters. 💛

Today, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok reached a milestone close to our hearts: our 100th Buns Distribution for 50 seniors at Lions Befrienders Ghim Moh Active Ageing Centre! 🎉❤️

Our seniors enjoyed freshly baked, fragrant curry chicken buns from Bread Town @ Bt Batok. Soft, golden bread and a delicious savoury filling made for a lovely treat on this special occasion. 😋🥯

We warmly thank Bread Town @ Bt Batok, our halal-certified bakery partner, for consistently delivering quality bakes and putting care into the food our seniors enjoy. 👏💕

🌷 A HUNDRED DISTRIBUTIONS, A CONTINUING COMMITMENT

A familiar face at lunchtime. A helping hand with a meal. A warm greeting that says, “We’re glad to see you.” These simple gestures lie at the heart of our weekly service to our seniors. ❤️

Today, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok brought our 179th Weekly Hearty Meals to 120 seniors across three Lions Befrienders Clementi Active Ageing Centres:

🏡 Blk 344 — 30 seniors
🏡 Blk 366 — 30 seniors
🏡 Blk 420A — 60 seniors

🍚 Comforting flavours, thoughtful preparation
Our seniors enjoyed delicious Chicken Char Siew Rice, accompanied by a braised egg, oyster-sauced vegetables, and two pieces each of chicken nuggets and ngoh hiah. The team from Dajie Holdings Pte Ltd prepared these hearty bentos at Dajie Makan Place @ Clementi, Blk 354 Clementi Ave 2, helping us bring a satisfying lunch to every senior. 😋💛

🤝 Giving time, sharing care

Past President Richard Khoo collected the meals from Dajie Makan Place and delivered them to all three centres. At Blk 344, he joined Lion Wang Wei to serve the seniors, while Lion Mary Lim served the seniors at Blk 420A.

We thank our Lions for making time to care. Their hands carry the meals, but their presence brings the personal touch that makes community service so meaningful. 💐

Today, the Lions Club of Singapore Bedok served 100 seniors across three Lions Befrienders Tampines Active Ageing Centres, bringing our 8th Twice-a-Month Hearty Meals to:

🥢 A LUNCH WORTH LOOKING FORWARD TO!

Our seniors enjoyed delicious Chicken Char Siew Rice, complete with a braised egg, oyster-sauced vegetables, two chicken nuggets, and two pieces of ngoh hiah. A lovely mix of savoury flavours made every serving a hearty treat! 🍚🥚🥬

Suitok Pte Ltd added a delightful finish with refreshing Lychee Jelly Dessert and Red Bean Butter Shiopan—a sweet combination to round off lunch. 🍮🍞✨
