Deepawali Carnival Brings Festive Cheer to Migrant Workers!

The spirit of Deepawali shone bright at the ITSCommunityCare (ITSCC) Deepawali Carnival 2025, held at the Penjuru Recreation Centre! Over 1,500 migrant workers came together to celebrate the Festival of Lights with joy, music, delicious food, gifts, and community warmth.

We were honoured to have Ms. Goh Sze Kee, MP for Mountbatten SMC, as our Guest of Honour, and Mr. Arvind Srivastava, Second Secretary (Commerce & Visa), who joined us in appreciating the invaluable contributions of our migrant workers and the efforts of all volunteers.

The evening was filled with cultural performances, wellness activities, and festive treats - every smile reflected the true spirit of Deepawali: light, gratitude, and unity. Each worker received a bento meal, steel tiffin box, clothing, foldable bag, and goodie pack as tokens of appreciation.

A big thank-you to our partners, sponsors, and volunteers for spreading joy and unity this festive season. Together, we made Deepawali brighter for everyone!

On behalf of ITSCC, I would like to thank all the volunteers, who have been actively participated and help during the Deepavali Carnival 2024 @ PRC for Migrant Workers. Like to thank all the sponsors namely Marwari Mitra Mandal (Singapore), Rotary Club of Suntec City, BiJhar (Singapore), DVK, Sunshine Trust and their partner Canimar Exports for supporting this meaningful event. Special thanks to Puneet Agarwal for sponsoring the bento boxes.

This year we managed to reach out over 1000 Migrant Workers at Penjuru Recreation Centre to celebrate Deepavali with them. In addition, we add more vibrancy like stage performances and munchies booths (Ice Cream, Kachang Puteh and Muthu Mayam) in addition to Bento box (food), duffle bags and T-shirts, chocolates and many other stuffs helpful to these workers.

2. Home Improvement Services (coordinated by SSO). We're grateful to our volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to conduct a thorough deep cleaning of the household. Your hard work has created a healthier living environment for the family.

A fresher and more comfortable sleeping environment for the family
A cleaner, more hygienic living space
Improved daily life with the addition of a kettle for hot water needs
An overall increase in the family's welfare and quality of life
