Chinatown Active Ageing Centre In 1995, he engineered the mechanics of the Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC) to form the KASAC Management Committee.

Kreta Ayer Seniors Activity Centre (KASAC) was set up by Dr Richard Hu who was then the Minister of Finance and a member of Parliament in the Kreta Ayer Constituency. KASAC was formed with the aim of assisting senior citizens in achieving a happy and fulfilling life through professional management. To date there are a total of 3 Seniors Activity Centre and a total of over 400 elderly members under our care.

A wonderful noon outing with our Chinatown Active Ageing Centre, Chin Swee seniors today to CapitaSpring, visited the 51st floor rooftop Sky Garden with full elevated access so no strenuous climbing for the seniors😄Seniors get to enjoy a bird's eye view of Marina Bay with beautiful sceneries and admire the lush greenery as they stroll along with much social interaction.

🎶 Nothing beats a morning chorus of tiny voices and enthusiastic dancing! 🎤💃

Our Banda seniors were greeted to a specially prepared performance by the children from Sri Sathya Sai Kindergarten, where they were beaming from their seats and clapping enthusiastically. The seniors were also treated to a delicious lunch at the end! 🍽️

We would like to thank the children and teachers from Sri Sathya Sai Kindergarten for their time and enthusiasm towards making our seniors happy! ❤️

Every day is an Active Ageing Day at Chinatown Active Ageing Centre, Chin Swee with varieties of active ageing activities and programmes. We started with taiji morning exercise, followed by ring toss game. After lunch break, activities continued with seniors participating in CALM 1.0, Number Game. Karaoke 🎤 and la la exercise, seniors participating in activities of their choice and learning new skills. Adding life into years, not just years to life! Enjoying themselves and making new friends!😍💃

Today at Chinatown Active Ageing Centre, Chin Swee together with Thye Hua Kwan, we had another round of THK CREST programme for our seniors. The seniors are so enthusiastic and energised, happily engaged in the various types of physical, cognitive and mental stimulating activities and games, learning, interacting and socialising with one and other. At the end of the programme, seniors feedback that the programme was good 👍 and fun!Active Minds, Active Bodies!🤩

Selamat Hari Raya Aidifiltri🎉🎊to our value muslim members! Today at Chinatown Active Ageing Centre, Chin Swee, we had two joyous memorable occasions! Celebrating Happy Hari Raya with our Muslim seniors and celebrating our seniors birthday together🎂wishing our lovely seniors a year older but happier and healthier! The ambience was really good, filled with lots of fun, excitement and laughters and enjoyed a sumptuous hi-tea together. The event was round off with presentation of a goodie bag of daily essential groceries items by Mr Peh and Mr Ang, our Committee members, with special appreciation for their valuable time and presence which greatly enhanced the occasion and made the difference! We had a joyful Hari Raya celebration with our Muslim seniors yesterday at 3pm!
Everyone enjoyed their favourite drink, Bandung, along with tasty snacks, as our seniors sang their hearts out to their favourite Raya songs—filling the room with laughter, music, and festive cheer. The fun continued with an exciting round of Raya Bingo, keeping everyone on their toes!
To wrap up the celebration on a high note, our committee member, Mr Peh, presented each participant with voucher ang pows, goodie bags, and dinner bentos—sending everyone home with smiles and full hearts.

Our seniors from Chinatown Active Ageing Centre (Jalan Kukoh) celebrated a vibrant Chinese New Year Lohei at Red Star Restaurant on 10 March 2026. The afternoon was a lively mix of food and fun, with delicious Dim Sum and noodles served between an exciting lineup of performances and lucky draws.
​Kelly and 20 volunteers, including Collin, Joey, Leslie, JieLe, and Gary, kept the energy high with a variety of dialect, English, and Mandarin songs. The highlights were definitely the appearance of Cai Shen Yeh 财神爷 by Leslie and the Face-changing 川剧变脸 captivating performance by Gary.
​With 20 lucky draw winners and everyone heading home with a voucher Ang Pow and a door gift, it was a truly joyful celebration for the Jalan Kukoh community. 🍊🍊

Bringing in the first Banda and Honglim carnivals for the year — proudly run by our very own senior volunteers! 🤩

From the food stands to the game booths, our Banda and Honglim senior volunteers worked their magic 🪄 and stole the show with their contagious enthusiasm, sharing their time, energy and wit! 💪

On 26 February, we had our Chinese New Year Carnival at Chinatown Active Ageing Centre, Chin Swee with close to 200 seniors joining in the fun! The Carnival was a heartwarming success! Seeing our seniors actively engaged and enthusiastically participating in the games, community bonding activities bring us joy! Some seniors were in high spirits, dancing away🕺 💃 and singing their hearts out as they dance along with the live music. Age is indeed just a number for these seniors! All seniors at the carnival get to enjoy varieties of finger foods, games, gift voucher angpows and a yummy prosperity cny bento meal😋the carnival was filled with warmth, laughters and lively CNY atmosphere. Our tikam tikam game really excites the seniors as it's a instant win马上发财!马上有钱!game. Great appreciation to our sponsor for the tikam tikam instant win! Thank you to our volunteers and our Chairman and Committee for their valuable time, assistance and presence at the carnival which greatly enhanced the festive occasion!

We had a lively Saturday at Chinatown Active Ageing Centre (Jalan Kukoh) with our Adaptive Sports programme featuring Boccia. Our seniors were divided into two teams, Blue and Red, and spent a full hour enjoying friendly competition, fun, and plenty of laughter. It was heartening to see everyone so engaged, cheering one another on, and having a great time together.
