We are a group of friends with the same passion to perform good deeds to give back to the society through community works. At the same time, we also hope to inspire more like-minded individuals to join us in creating a compassionate society. We hope our little gesture will bring warmth and care to the society.

Before we wrapped up the day, we had a short debriefing session where volunteers shared their thoughts and ideas for future activities.

Once again, thank you to all our volunteers for your time, commitment, and effort. Despite the early start, your enthusiasm and teamwork made today's event a meaningful and memorable one. We look forward to serving the community together again soon. 🥰

Dumpling Event @ St Joseph’s Home

On Saturday, our volunteers gathered bright and early at St Joseph's Home for a meaningful Rice Dumpling Wrapping Event with the residents and their caregivers.

The morning began with a kitchen hygiene refresher conducted by the Home's kitchen staff. After that, our kitchen team prepared the ingredients while the table team set up the workstations and bamboo stands. Before the activity commenced, all volunteers were first briefed by Jeffrey and followed by Janet from St Joseph's Home to ensure the session ran smoothly and safely.

As the residents and their caregivers arrived, the atmosphere quickly came alive with smiles, conversations, and laughter. Volunteers were assigned to each table to assist the residents in wrapping traditional Nyonya rice dumplings, encouraging interaction and creating meaningful moments together.

Through everyone's teamwork and enthusiasm, a total of 80 handmade Nyonya rice dumplings were lovingly wrapped. Before the dumplings were collected for cooking, Janet went from table to table, counting the dumplings together with the residents. It was a wonderful way to celebrate everyone's efforts and gave the residents a sense of pride in what they had accomplished together.

The residents were treated to a delightful performance by our RenYi ladies, who entertained everyone with songs and dance, filling the hall with warmth, laughter, and joyful applause.
As a small token of appreciation, RenYi also presented each caregiver with a Nyonya rice dumpling as a gesture of thanks for the love, care, and support they provide to the residents.

As the event came to a close, our volunteers once again came together to help clean up the area, ending the morning with the same spirit of teamwork that had carried us throughout the day.

A heartfelt thank you to St Joseph's Home for the opportunity to share this meaningful experience with the residents and their caregivers. Most importantly, thank you to every one of our volunteers for your dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to start your day so early to make this event possible. Your kindness, patience, and generosity of time helped create a memorable morning filled with companionship, smiles, and cherished memories 🩵

Together, we are reminded that the simplest acts of service—wrapping a dumpling, sharing a conversation, or bringing a smile to someone's face—can leave the greatest impact🩵

2026年7月11日，仁义爱心团义工们一早齐聚圣约瑟疗养院（St Joseph's Home），与院内长者及照护者共同举办了一场充满意义的粽包裹活动。

活动开始前，疗养院厨房人员先为大家进行了厨房卫生与食品安全讲解。随后，厨房组开始准备食材，桌椅组则负责布置场地及竹竿吊架。正式开始前，全体义工也接受了Jeffrey及疗养院Janet的活动简报，确保整个活动能够顺利、安全地进行。

当长者与照护者陆续抵达后，现场顿时洋溢着欢声笑语。义工们分配到各桌，与长者一起动手包裹传统娘惹粽，一边交流、一边互相协助，在欢愉的氛围中建立真挚的互动，也让长者们感受到陪伴与关怀。

在大家齐心协力下，当天共完成了80颗手工娘惹粽。在送往厨房烹煮之前，Janet逐桌与长者一起点算每桌完成的粽子数量，让长者们一同分享完成作品后的喜悦与成就感。

活动期间，仁义姐妹们还特别为长者们带来了精彩的歌唱与舞蹈表演，为现场增添更多欢乐气氛，也让长者们度过了一个充满笑声与温馨的上午。

为了表达感谢，仁义也特别赠送每位照护者一颗娘惹粽，感谢他们一直以来对长者无私的照顾、陪伴与关爱。

活动结束后，义工们齐心协力收拾及清理场地，为这场充满温情的活动画下圆满句点。

衷心感谢圣约瑟疗养院给予仁义爱心团这次服务长者的机会，也感谢每一位义工一大清早便投入服务，以满满的热忱、耐心与爱心陪伴长者，共同创造了许多珍贵而难忘的回忆🩵

每一次的陪伴、每一句关怀、每一颗亲手包裹的粽子，都承载着满满的爱与祝福。愿我们继续携手同行，以行动传递温暖，让社会充满更多关爱🩵

A special heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers for your time, care and dedication in making today’s outing such a meaningful and joyful one for the THK-Chai Chee residents. SCIENCE CENTRE OUTING WITH THK-CHAI CHEE RESIDENTS

We catered McDonald’s lunch for everyone today, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents. During lunch, we played some of the residents’ favourite songs, and it was heartwarming to see them singing along, clapping and even dancing happily to the music.

We wrapped up the day with a small snack pack for each resident to bring home, which included packet drink and light snacks for their tea break — a little something to end the outing on a sweet note.

今天我们也为大家准备了 麦当劳午餐，住户和义工们都吃得非常开心。午餐期间，我们播放了一些住户们喜爱的歌曲，看到他们一边听歌、一边跟着唱、拍手，甚至开心地跳起舞来，现场气氛十分温馨热闹。

活动结束前，我们也为每位住户准备了一份小小的茶点包，让他们带回去作为下午茶享用，里面有包装饮料和一些小零食，为这趟愉快之旅 画上一个甜甜的句点。

SCIENCE CENTRE OUTING WITH THK-CHAI CHEE RESIDENTS

Our hearts are full after a meaningful and joyful day out at Science Centre Singapore with 28 THK-Chai Chee residents and staff, together with our Ren Yi volunteers today!

From exploring the exhibits to sharing laughs, conversations and little moments throughout the day, it was truly a lovely outing filled with warmth, companionship and smiles all around. It was heartening to see our residents so engaged, curious and happy, simply enjoying the experience and one another’s company.

A big thank you to all our volunteers for your time, care and support in making today’s outing such a smooth and memorable one. Your kindness, patience and willingness to journey alongside our residents made all the difference, and we are so grateful for each of you ❤️

Seeing the joy and excitement on the residents’ faces reminded us how special these shared moments can be. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making today such a beautiful and memorable outing for the THK-Chai Chee family 😊
