🇷🇴✨ The SG100 Foundation is happy to celebrate Romania’s National Day on 1 December — 107 years since the Great Union!

We had the pleasure of attending the reception where H.E. Mr Iulian Buga and Singapore’s Minister of State Gan Siow Huang 颜晓芳shared heartfelt insights on the strong ties between Singapore and Romania — from economic cooperation to the warm people-to-people friendships that continue to grow.

For us, the evening was especially meaningful. We caught up with old friends, met many new ones, and were truly encouraged by those who expressed interest in supporting or taking part in SG100 Foundation activities. Moments like these remind us why building community and connection matters.

With over 100 Romanian companies already in Singapore, the potential for even closer collaboration is exciting.

Happy National Day, Romania! 🇸🇬🤝🇷🇴

The parade and fireworks may be over, but Singapore’s 60th birthday spirit continued at our National Day Luncheon at Chui Huay Lim Club!

We were honoured to host ambassadors and diplomats from ASEAN and beyond—including Poland, Spain and Bangladesh —alongside local community leaders, and our esteemed guests Heng Swee Keat, Singapore’s former Deputy Prime Minister (2019-2025), Mrs Heng (also known as Ms Chang Hwee Nee), CEO of National Heritage Board, Shawn Huang Wei Zhong 黄伟中(Senior Parliamentary Secretary, M*F & MOM) and former MP Cynthia Phua.

This luncheon was especially significant. A decade ago, Mr Heng chaired the SG50 Steering Committee, envisioning a future where ground-up efforts would shape Singapore’s journey. Today, that vision lives on. The SG100 Foundation, founded by Dennis Ng, is one such initiative—mentoring youths, uniting communities to shape the future of Singapore together.

As Lawrence Wong reminded us in his National Day Rally, it is our turn to partner one another and the Government—“rolling up our sleeves, coming up with solutions, and turning good ideas into reality.”

At the luncheon, we also shared the success of our ASEAN education projects—and we look forward to growing more initiatives that will strengthen Singapore and our region together.

Here’s to 60 years of progress—and to building the next 40, hand in hand.

🎉✨ It’s Official – The SG100 Kids Club is Here! ✨🎉

At SG60 Family Day, we proudly launched the SG100 Kids Club — a new initiative by the SG100 Foundation to nurture young hearts to understand Singapore’s past, appreciate the present and be ready for the future. ❤️🇸🇬

Our esteemed partner, Appleland Playhouse, received the inaugural SG100 Kids Club plaque, in the warm presence of Rachel Ong 王心妍, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC. 🌟 Representatives and seniors from Sunlove Active Ageing Centre (Depot Heights) warmed our hearts with their joyful presence and enthusiastic support, reminding us all of the beauty of inter-generational community spirit.

This marks the beginning of a joyful journey where children in Appleland Playhouse will grow through stories, play and meaningful service — discovering the values of resilience, compassion, courage and creativity that shaped our nation.

Inspired by the legacy of Mr Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore’s pioneers, we hope to raise a new generation ready to lead with heart and purpose 💡🇸🇬 and “ride into the sun”, as sung by our Youth ambassador Frances Tan.

🎨 Thank You Faber-Castell🎨
A huge shoutout to Faber-Castell for generously sponsoring colour pencils for all participants and prizes for our Top 3 winners in the SG100 Foundation Colouring Contest at SG60 Family Day (2 Aug 2025, Sat) — a lively celebration organised with Appleland Playhouse and Sunlove Active Ageing Cenre @ Depot Heights and graced by Rachel Ong 王心妍, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC.

From our youngest budding artist at 4 years old to our most seasoned participant at 84 years young, the day was a vibrant burst of creativity and colour. 🌈✨

The smiles, laughter and masterpieces showed us that art truly has no age limit. Thank you to everyone who picked up a pencil and joined the fun — you made it a resounding success! ❤️

🌟 Congratulations, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong 🇸🇬

We extend our warmest congratulations to PM Lawrence Wong on his successful election and continued leadership of Singapore.

The clear and strong mandate given by Singaporeans reflects their confidence in PM Wong’s leadership and the PAP’s enduring commitment to stability, progress and unity.

At SG100 Foundation, we walk alongside the Government of the day — now and for the next 40 years — as Singapore journeys towards her 100th year. Like your Government, we want our future generations to not only enjoy the fruits of today’s labour, as we have from the legacy of Mr Lee Kuan Yew and his founding team, but to carry forward the vital work of keeping Singapore strong, relevant and forward-looking.

We believe in uniting Singaporeans in building a future that honours the past, appreciate the present while inspiring the next generation.

🎉✨ A Night to Remember, A Future to Build! ✨🎉

SG100 Foundation’s “Lest We Forget” anniversary dinner, held on 22 March 2025, was more than just an event—it was a powerful reminder of where we started, how far we’ve come and the bright future ahead! 🇸🇬 With Guest-of-Honour Mdm Halimah Yacob gracing our occasion, we celebrated SG100 Foundation’s 10th year, gathering around 40 tables, symbolizing the next 40 years towards Singapore’s centennial milestone.

In response to PM Lawrence Wong’s call for Singaporeans to go global and establish more people-to-people connections, we presented a Singapore Global Friendship award to the People’s Republic of China. We played some excerpts of the documentary video, “Lee Kuan Yew and China’s Reform and Opening-Up”. The documentary was a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew and a cherished gift from Singapore’s China Embassy to SG100 Foundation. 🌏🤝

During the night, we honoured the contributions and impact made by 2 centenarian organisations: Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan (since 1854) and Singapore Scout Association (since 1910). We paid tribute to our late centenarian Mr. Lim Tze Peng for leaving a rich legacy in the art world and also Mr. Charlie Lim for his artistic innovation.

We witnessed the release of two original songs inspired by the themes: Lest We Forget, BOLD and Riding the Rainbow — sung by passionate young people who echo our shared hopes and remind us to dream boldly and live fully. 🌈❤️

As a people’s movement, we endeavoured to understand our nation’s past, appreciate our present and set our sights on a future where Singaporeans and friends can ride the rainbow together, as envisioned by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. 🌈🇸🇬

So, to all who joined us in the “Lest We Forget” anniversary dinner—thank you!

Thank you, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, for all that you'd done for us. We will never forget. 🇸🇬

Thank you, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, for all that you'd done for us.

We will never forget. 🇸🇬

Ten years on. The recent rains remind us of that solemn day in March 2015, when Singapore stood united under heavy skies to bid farewell to our founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Today marks a decade since his passing. Together with his pioneering team, Mr Lee defied the odds to build a nation anchored in meritocracy, strengthened by economic resilience, and held together by a deep commitment to harmony.

Singapore today stands as a living testament to his vision - a clean, green, and dynamic city-state, admired and respected around the world.

As we mark SG60 and chart our next chapter, let us honour his legacy not just in remembrance, but in action. The Singapore story is still being written. Together, let’s forge a brighter future worthy of the foundation he laid.
