We had a meaningful and heartwarming day at the Oceanarium on the 11th May 2026, in partnership with our corporate volunteers from Edrington.

Our clients, supported by the Tampines New Horizon Centre team and volunteers, enjoyed an engaging tour, shared laughter over lunch, and created special moments together. From exploring marine life to forming new connections, the outing was a wonderful opportunity to promote social engagement and inclusivity.

A big thank you to our corporate volunteers for the patience, care, and companionship that made a real difference in our clients’ day.

We also appreciate the strong collaboration with our corporate partner, from planning to ex*****on, which ensured a smooth and successful event.

It’s another successful screening of ‘A Singapore Dementia Story’ at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital!

Presented by Lien Foundation and Dementia Singapore, and produced by veteran producer Daniel Yun, ‘A Singapore Dementia Story’ is an anthology of five short films that go beyond the diagnosis to celebrate the resilience, humour, and unwavering love of caregivers and persons living with dementia.

On 8 May, we had the wonderful opportunity to partner with Corning for a special outing to the Asian Civilisations Museum with our clients from Dementia Singapore’s New Horizon Centre.

Throughout the museum journey, Corning volunteers warmly engaged with our clients through conversations, storytelling and companionship, creating moments of joy, curiosity and meaningful social connection. From admiring cultural artefacts together to sharing laughter during the outing, every interaction reflected the care and sincerity shown towards persons living with dementia.

The outing continued with a lovely lunch fellowship, where volunteers and clients bonded further over heartfelt conversations and shared experiences.

Beyond the museum visit, this outing reminded us of the importance of social engagement and community inclusion in supporting the well-being of persons living with dementia. Small moments of presence, patience and companionship can leave a lasting impact.

A heartfelt thanks to Corning for journeying with us and making the day so memorable for our clients and caregivers. Together, we continue to build a more compassionate and dementia-inclusive community.

Our hearts are full as we look back on the Evergreen Volunteer Mixer, where we spent an afternoon celebrating and appreciating the incredible volunteers who journeyed with us over the past year.

From operational support at our events and activity facilitation at our New Horizon Centres, Memories Café, and Dementia Social Club, to home befriending and public awareness roadshows, every volunteer has played a meaningful role in supporting persons living with dementia and their caregivers.

One of the most meaningful moments of the event was presenting our volunteers with tote bags featuring colouring artwork specially created by one of our clients from New Horizon Centre — a heartfelt reminder of the connections and joy made possible through every act of service.
