What a wonderful evening celebrating Singapore’s 61st National Day together! 🎉❤️
It was heartwarming to see residents, volunteers, community partners and friends from all walks of life coming together to celebrate our nation and the strong community we have built here in Toa Payoh West–Thomson.
Beyond the food and performances, events like this remind us of what makes Singapore special — our shared memories, friendships and sense of belonging. 🇸🇬
Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible, and to all the volunteers and organisers who worked behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to our residents for coming together and making the celebration so memorable!

🧯 First Aid & Fire Safety Awareness Talk

Glad to be part of this meaningful session with our seniors at Xin Yuan Community Care.

It was encouraging to see everyone actively participating in the first aid and fire safety sharing, as well as putting their learning into practice during the fire evacuation exercise.

A little knowledge and preparation can make a big difference when it matters most. ❤️

🦟 CERT Volunteers Step Up to Fight Dengue at Braddell View 🦟

With Braddell View experiencing a growing dengue cluster, CERT volunteers answered the call at short notice this morning to support the distribution of dengue prevention materials to residents.

As Singapore remains in a high dengue risk period, community outreach and resident engagement are more important than ever. Through door-to-door distribution and conversations with residents, our volunteers helped reinforce the importance of staying vigilant and taking simple preventive actions at home.

A big thank you to all CERT volunteers who came forward despite the short notice. Your willingness to serve and protect our community exemplifies the spirit of preparedness and neighbourliness.

💪 Remember to spend just 10 minutes every week to carry out the B-L-O-C-K steps:
🔹 Break up hardened soil
🔹 Lift and empty flowerpot plates
🔹 Overturn pails
🔹 Change water in vases
🔹 Keep roof gutters clear

Together, through vigilance and simple preventive actions, we can protect our families, neighbours and community from dengue.

🚨 Empowering Residents. Strengthening Community Preparedness. 🚨

Today, C2E and Toa Payoh Crest RN, with the strong support of the 1st Division Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), successfully conducted the Responder Plus Programme at Toa Payoh Crest RN. 💪

Residents of Toa Payoh Crest, CERT members, and Toa Payoh Citizens on Patrol (COP) members came together to learn valuable lifesaving skills, including:
✅ First Aid
✅ CPR-AED for Adults & Infants
✅ Proper Use of Fire Extinguishers

Through hands-on training and active participation, our community members are now better prepared to respond during emergencies and support one another when it matters most. 🏡❤️

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, trainers, volunteers, and partners for making today’s programme meaningful and impactful. Together, we continue building a safer, stronger, and more resilient community! 🙌

Residents stepped up to learn fire safety, picked up life-saving tips, and took a big step towards keeping our community safe and ready.

In moments of crisis, ordinary people step up in extraordinary ways.
Our C2E member, Martin Wong, was recently featured in the news for his response to a road traffic accident at Toa Payoh North Flyover. His swift actions in assessing casualties, providing first aid, and managing the scene made a real difference before emergency services arrived.
This is what community readiness looks like — calm, decisive, and stepping forward when it matters most.
