Happy Nurses Day! πŸ’™

Today, we celebrate the extraordinary nurses who make a difference every single day through their compassion, expertise and unwavering dedication.

For every ostomate, stoma care nurse and healthcare professional who has patiently taught, encouraged, reassured and stood beside us through our journeyβ€”you are more than caregivers. You are our teachers, advocates, confidants and pillars of strength.

Your kindness restores confidence, your encouragement inspires hope, and your care changes lives.

From all of us at the Ostomy Association of Singapore, thank you for all that you do.

Healthy Bonds: Connecting Care, Confidence, and Community

On 22 August 2026, OAS will bring together nurses, a dietitian, a fashion stylist, and our own Vice-President Zoe Yap for the next session in our Patient Educational Series, held in partnership with Convatec, at Academia, SGH Campus.

Living well with a stoma is about more than clinical care. It is stoma care tips that actually work, nutrition suited to your body, and the everyday confidence to show up in the world exactly as you are. This session brings all three together in one morning, for our members and the wider community.

Seats are limited. RSVP by 13 August 2026: https://bit.ly/HEALTHYBONDS

Colorectal cancer is the second most common cancer among women in Singapore – but its warning signs are often mistaken for other health conditions and screening is frequently overlooked. From subtle symptoms to hard-to-detect tumours, here’s why it can go undetected.
