Red Cross work in Singapore began in 30 September 1949 as part of the British Red Cross Society. The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) was incorporated by an Act of Parliament on 6 April 1973. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Hindu Volunteers Network for supporting affected communities in the Nepal Floods.

Donations will go towards the immediate response and relief efforts in Nepal, including the distribution of safe drinking water and essential emergency supplies such as tarpaulins, blankets, sleeping mats and first aid kits.

As search and rescue operations are ongoing, every donation helps bring timely humanitarian assistance to communities on the ground when they need it most.

⛑️ Sylvia’s reason for learning first aid was simple: she wanted to know how to help someone experiencing a medical emergency. She soon found herself putting that knowledge into action when she received an alert on the myResponder app about someone nearby who had collapsed. She responded to the call for help, and the man survived. Today, she still sees him around her neighbourhood.

To her, learning first aid is not just acquiring a skill, but being willing to step forward when someone needs help.

“The pride of taking the initiative when someone is in need has really stuck with me and it motivates me to do more.”

In recognition of her excellence, Sylvia received the Singapore Red Cross Commendation Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards 2026.

In the 14th edition of President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA), Singapore Red Cross, Peace of Art SG and City Developments Limited were recognised with the City of Good Award for our multi-sector partnership.

Through the 60 Lights, One Future campaign spearheaded by Eunice Yeo, individuals and businesses rallied their own networks to turn giving into a collective movement, raising more than S$468,000 in support of the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme.

Organised by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), the event was graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo. The awards celebrate individuals, organisations, leaders, communities and partnerships that have made meaningful contributions to the community through giving.

Thank you to everyone who made this campaign possible. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and young people through the power of giving. ❤️

🎶 Lunch, live music, and an unforgettable afternoon — all FOR GOOD! ❤️

On 3 October, Singapore Red Cross celebrated our 10th Charity Luncheon and Concert at HaveFun Live Show in collaboration with Black Cat Theatre Production, bringing together close to 400 guests for an afternoon of music, joy and generosity.

Together, we raised over $1 million to support our humanitarian work and vulnerable communities in Singapore. ❤️

We were honoured to have Mr Kian Peng Seah, Speaker of Parliament of Singapore, join us as our Guest-of-Honour, and grateful to Mr Loh Kiong P**t, Trendy Egg Distributor, Sengkang Import & Export Pte Ltd and Sengkang Trading Enterprise, 惠州会馆 and Zenith Legacy for their generous sponsorship of four medical transport vehicles to support seniors and strengthen our transport capabilities. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our Sponsors, Good Will Entertainment, Allswell Trading Pte Ltd, Chuan Jii Bakery, Hey! Chips, Khong Guan and Three Legs Brand.

One year on, recovery looks different across affected communities in the Philippines. For some families, it means rebuilding their homes. For others, it means restarting their livelihoods or learning new skills to earn an income again.

Climate can influence when, where and how infectious diseases spread, but these impacts are not always immediate or the same across communities.

In Session 2 of Changing Climate, Changing Risks, we explored how climate, disasters and local contexts shape disease risks, and how understanding these relationships creates opportunities to prepare and act earlier.

For our third and final session, we look ahead. What could a changing climate mean for future disaster risks and their cascading impacts on communities? Our speakers will explore climate risks and projections, and practical approaches to capacity development for climate adaptation.

This International Day of Older Persons, Singapore Red Cross (SRC) hosted its thought leadership forum, “Reimagining Longevity: Contribution, Care & Community,” bringing together 50 stakeholders to explore ways to build caring communities where seniors can age with purpose, dignity and connection.

Graced by Guest-of-Honour Mr Eric Chua , Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development, the event also marked the launch of the Singapore Red Cross Academy’s Caregivers Support Training, equipping caregivers with skills and confidence while supporting their own well-being.

A panel discussion with SPS Mr Eric Chua; Ms Eleanor Yap, Founder and Editor of Ageless Online; Mr Richard Siaw, Director at R.S. Solomon LLC; and Dr Jade Kua, Leadership & Longevity Coach at Jade Life & Wellness Coaching, moderated by SRC volunteer Augustine Anthuvan, explored how to strengthen community support, foster intergenerational connections and enable seniors to continue contributing meaningfully to society.

SRC remains committed to empowering caregivers and seniors, fostering communities where everyone can age with purpose, dignity and connection.
