Our usual acupuncture session with our member volunteer physician.
Our qigong and ba duan jin lesson resumes with a new Shaolin instructor. We met two French interns serving the Active Ageing Centre from ESSEC Business School assisting the class. There were another two local interns helping out on-site.
Today, the senior residents learnt half of the moves. The ba duan jin lesson will resume next month.

It’s the annual D309 Lions Convention again this time held in Johor Bahru under DG Chia Lai Soon’s term. Our club secretary attended a leadership training session followed by compaign speeches by candidates Yeoh Guan Huah and Henry Liang the following day. An exciting voting process commenced wherein the winner Yeoh Guan Huah was announced. Congratulations on the emergence of the new 2nd VDG elect.
In the evening, our club was presented with the hard earned Diamond Award by DG Chia Lai Soon thus successfully concluding yet another Lions Convention.

Yesterday, at our regular service project we met with Lions Club of Singapore Stamford who were present delivering hot meals. With concurrent activities held including outdoor games and drumming indoors, the active ageing centre was really all abuzz.

Invigorating drum beats reverberated at Lions Home For The Elders yesterday as professional drummer from Singapore Chinese Orchestra and drummer Mr Chong led 8 young adults from Thye Hua Kwan Moral Home, Eunos, to bring festive cheer to the Home by playing familiar tunes 男儿当自强, Chan Mali Chan and Munaru Vaalibaa amongst others.
A special touch was the focus on engagement and involvement of Lions and residents to move and clap to the beat. Everyone was encouraged to have a go at playing the drums and even a gong.
This was a Lions Club of Singapore Meyer interactive drumming with gifting of groceries project funded by Lions Community Service Foundation with thanks to our sponsor and to former Director of Singapore Chinese Orchestra, Emeritus Honorary Chairman of Ding Yi, Patrick Goh.
