Let's all do our part to support environmental sustainability efforts. Encourage your daughter to walk cycle, carpool, or take public transport on the last Friday of every month.

Kayak N Klean — 14 kayaks of RGS girls and their parents set out on the tranquil waters of Bedok Reservoir this Easter Saturday for a meaningful Kayak-and-Klean activity sponsored by the People’s Association. They learnt the basics of kayaking, the importance of keeping our waterways clean… and teamwork! The girls and their parents enjoyed bonding with each other and with nature.

After sorting out the trash they collected, everyone tucked into their well-earned bento sets.

Special thanks to VP Ms Magdalene Suey for providing support and much needed sustenance with some refreshing cold Milo!

✨ A meaningful parent-child experience for PRGS families ✨

PRGS organised a special visit aboard the Pacific World, a cruise ship operated by Peace Boat, a Japan-based international NGO. Parents and daughters viewed the adapted Nobel Peace Centre exhibition, “A Message to Humanity” showcasing the work of Nihon Hidankyo (2024 Nobel Peace Laureate), which shares the voices and experiences of atomic bomb survivors. Nihon Hidankyo is a Japanese grassroots organization founded by survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings.

A deeply moving highlight was meeting Ms Masako Wada, one of the youngest remaining survivors of the Nagasaki atomic bombing. She shared a sobering testimony of the suffering endured by the hibakusha - victims and survivors of the atomic bombings - and their lifelong efforts to advocate for nuclear disarmament.

Families also toured the ship’s bridge, enjoyed Japanese snacks, and folded origami together.

In a world still marked by war and loss, this experience was a timely reminder of empathy, remembrance, and our shared responsibility to build a more peaceful future. We hope our girls will grow as daughters of a better age - with a heart for humanity and a commitment to shaping a better world from the lessons of the past.

[REGISTRATION OPENS TOMORROW!]

Parent-Child Kayak ‘N’ Klean Session!

Parents, do your part for the environment by partnering with your daughters to kayak and clean the waterways at Bedok Reservoir!

This meaningful event will be held on Saturday, 4 April 2026, from 10am to 1pm at:

PAssion Wave @ Bedok Reservoir
911 Bedok Reservoir Road
Bedok Reservoir Park
Singapore 479311

The participant fee is just $10 per parent-child pair. No prior kayaking experience is needed. Life vests, pails and tongs will be provided. Lunch bento will be served after the event.

Registration will open tomorrow 18 March 2026 (Wednesday), 2pm. Please register by filling up the Google Form via the Parents Gateway link.
