St Joseph's Home, Catholic Welfare Services Sg Forging a new narrative in ageing For more than 40 years, St Joseph’s Home has been caring for our elders including the dying.

When we move back to Jurong West come early 2017, we will continue to care for and with them while staying true to our philosophy of regarding every resident as a Person, not Patient. Our relocation presents an opportunity for us to redefine the way we look after our elders and to forge a new narrative in ageing. We were honoured to host Mr Tan Chee Wee, CEO of Agency for Integrated Care, and his team at St Joseph’s Home 😊

It was a meaningful visit as our team came together to showcase the different spaces and services across the Home, from our residential clusters to our childcare centre, hydropool, and even a lively battle ropes session in the gym led by our music therapist, alongside an ongoing art therapy session in the café.

We’re grateful for the valuable exchange on Singapore’s nursing home landscape, and the shared commitment towards enhancing care for our residents 💛

St Joseph’s Home kicked off our Lunar New Year celebrations early with double the joy and festive cheer! 🏮✨

For the first time, we gathered for both a Residents’ Reunion Dinner and a Residents’ & Caregivers’ Reunion Lunch — a heartwarming way to welcome the new year together.

The celebrations began with an energetic Lion Dance by Hong Kah North CC, followed by a joyful Yu Sheng toss to usher in good fortune. 🎉 Performances by Gek Poh Ville CC’s Xin Rui group kept spirits high, alongside games, prizes, and plenty of laughter. Throughout the programme, residents and caregivers enjoyed an 8-course reunion meal — because no Lunar New Year is complete without good food and togetherness! 🥢🍊

At the Reunion Lunch, a volunteer calligrapher joined us to create Lunar New Year calligraphy for residents and caregivers, adding a personal and meaningful festive touch. ✍️❤️ We ended on a joyful note as all attending residents are presented ang baos. 🧧✨
