A Special Throwback: The Story and Spirit of SKA.

The Singapore Khalsa Association (SKA) was pleased to have been invited to be part of a momentous occasion; the Foundation Stone Ceremony for the new Chancery-cum-Residential Complex of the High Commission of India in Singapore, held on 19 August 2026 at 54 Stevens Road.

SKA was represented by Harpreet Kaur Grewal and Prem Singh, who joined distinguished guests and members of other institutions for the ceremony.

Guest of Honour Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India, reflected on the longstanding and evolving relationship between India and Singapore, highlighting the trust, friendship and close cooperation that have shaped bilateral ties over the years. He also spoke about the significance of the new complex as India continues to deepen its engagement with Singapore.

Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, reflected on the depth of Singapore–India relations and the strong bonds that connect the two countries. He highlighted the importance of the relationship and the close people-to-people ties that have continued to strengthen the partnership over the years.

The new Chancery-cum-Residential Complex marks another significant milestone in India’s diplomatic presence in Singapore and reflects the enduring friendship and growing partnership between the two countries. SKA extends its warmest congratulations to the High Commission of India in Singapore on this significant milestone and wishes them every success as the new complex takes shape.

Teeyan 2026 Celebration

The SKA Ladies Wing proudly hosted a vibrant Teeyan Celebration on 26 July 2026 at the Singapore Khalsa Association, Level 2 Lee Foundation Hall. The event brought together women and families to celebrate Punjabi culture through traditional attire, music, dance, and festive activities.
