This May, the Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) returns, co-located with Ecosperity by Temasek 🌏

In Impact Brief, we spotlight how ideas, capital, and partnerships from across our ecosystem are coming together to move solutions forward.

PAS, organised by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance, will bring together 1,000+ leaders to drive impact across climate, health, and inclusive development.

This May, leaders across the public, private, and philanthropic sectors will come together in Singapore to turn ideas into impact for a more sustainable future.

The Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) 2026 returns, organised by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance and supported by Temasek Trust, once again alongside Ecosperity Week by Temasek.

The 6th edition of PAS will be the largest yet, with 1,000+ attendees; 150+ speakers across 50+ sessions, and an expanded Innovation Showcase featuring 30+ ventures from leading accelerator programmes.

💡 Other highlights from the week:
▪️ The 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 by the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices and Temasek will explore where impact is becoming investable at scale and what is needed to unlock the next stage of growth

“Behind every partnership, funding opportunity, or connection we facilitate are real people whose lives are shaped by these opportunities,” shares Akhil Khurana from the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP).

At CIIP — where he drives the Amplifier mentorship programme for high-impact businesses — Akhil’s work goes well beyond the desk, combining research with hands-on engagement. From building pathways for impact to pursuing his passion for fitness (including a slow resistance training certification), he brings energy to all that he does.

Scaling climate solutions requires more than capital — it depends on a strong ecosystem of partners.

As a Founding Partner of The Earthshot Prize, Temasek Trust works with innovators and collaborators to support promising solutions and scale their impact.

In this conversation, Ryan Tan, Head of Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health (C3H) and Head of Planet Collaborative at Temasek Trust, and Pierre-Yves Paslier, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Notpla, discuss Notpla’s journey since winning The Earthshot Prize in 2022.

In 2024, C3H — Temasek Trust’s catalytic capital vehicle — participated in Notpla’s £20 million fundraising round, supporting the scaling of its manufacturing and expansion into North America.

C3H backs innovative, early-stage companies in Climate, Health, and their intersection. It focuses on companies that deliver tangible impact through bold, scalable solutions. Its activities are anchored by Temasek Trust’s impact areas of Planet, People, Peace, and Progress.

We welcomed 350+ colleagues from across the ecosystem along with their friends and families for our first ever Friends & Family Day at Temasek Shophouse ❤️

It was a day of discovering what’s been growing here: partnerships in motion, programmes taking shape, and a first look at our new outdoor spaces before they were opened to the public 🌿

From live music at the amphitheatre (featuring talents from Let’s Jam and Youth Music Matters), to community farm tours, and treats from Bibik Violet, Foreword Coffee Roasters, and Martket by ABRY — there was something for everyone 🎶

Behind it all, close to 60 colleagues came together to make the day happen. Grateful for the energy, care, and heart that made this one special ✨

At this month’s Breakfast Kakis Club — a regular gathering of colleagues from across the Temasek Trust ecosystem — over 70 colleagues came together for a candid and energising conversation around this year’s International Women’s Month theme: “Give to Gain”.

Panellists Annisah Smith from Stewardship Asia Centre (SAC), Ranjani Rajenthiran from Temasek Foundation (TF), Fadhilah A R Zamawi from Philanthropy Asia Alliance and Geraldine Chin from Temasek Trust (TT) reflected on the multiplier effect of giving — how small, intentional acts of support can ripple outward over time, in a conversation moderated by Tess Chia from TT.

One story that illustrated this was Ranjani’s. Once a beneficiary of the Donor Human Milk Bank supported by TF, she has now come full circle as part of TF’s maternal and child health team.

We also heard about Kanpur Flowercycling, whose work to uplift marginalised women helps enable their children to attend school. The company was recognised in the 2024 Steward Leadership 25 by SAC.

A few reflections stayed with us:
▪️ When acts of care are supported by the right systems, their impact can extend far beyond a single moment or individual.
▪️ Empathy shapes not only how programmes are designed, but how decisions are made and people are supported along the way.
▪️ Sustaining a spirit of giving means being clear about priorities, honest about limits, and trusting the support systems around us.
▪️ Progress often begins with setbacks — and the willingness to keep trying new pathways forward.

Every act of giving creates a multiplier effect.

When we invest our time and resources in advancing women, the impact ripples outward. Organisations build stronger leadership and cultures. Societies see greater economic and social progress.

Across the Temasek Trust ecosystem, initiatives are supporting women in meaningful ways — from providing life-saving milk for pre-term babies through the Donor Human Milk Bank supported by Temasek Foundation, to empowering women entrepreneurs across Asia through the Amplifier global mentorship programme by the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices and Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA), and opening pathways to education and employment for young women through Educate Girls’s Pragati programme supported by PAA.

In the lead-up to International Women’s Day, we spoke with colleagues across our ecosystem about how they are embedding inclusivity in their work, the experiences that shaped their perspectives, and how we can all accelerate progress for women.

Mr Dickson Lim, Lead, Philanthropy Advisory, Temasek Trust, has been appointed by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth - MCCY to serve on the Charity Council’s 10th term with effect from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2029.

Established in 2007, the Charity Council promotes the adoption of good governance and best practices in the charity sector, enhancing public confidence. It also helps build the capabilities of charities and Institutions of a Public Character, and advises the Commissioner of Charities on capability development and key regulatory issues.

Also Head of TT Foundation Advisors, the philanthropy advisory arm of Temasek Trust, Mr Lim is a trusted Senior Philanthropy Advisor to prominent philanthropists, as well as Asia-focused corporate and global foundations. As a senior practitioner in charity governance, Mr Lim brings to his new appointment more than 20 years of experience supporting leading nonprofit organisations across the social service, healthcare, and education sectors.
