About Temasek Trust
Established by Temasek Holdings in 2007, Temasek Trust is a steward of philanthropic assets, gifts and endowments. It is set up to receive funding from Temasek and other donors. Temasek Trust provides governance and financial oversight of non-profit endowments and other community gifts from Temasek, of which there are 24 endowments. These endowments and gifts support our non-profit ecosystem that includes Temasek Foundation, Stewardship Asia Centre, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory and Mandai Nature.

Asia’s development challenges are increasingly interconnected. Growth continues to create jobs and raise incomes, but growth alone may not be sufficient to reduce poverty or deliver lasting inclusion. Climate shocks, health risks, ageing, urbanisation, social fragmentation, and technological disruption place further pressure on development gains.

Standalone projects remain essential, but systemic challenges require more connected and adaptive approaches.

Developed by Temasek Trust and United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, From Silos to Systems, Projects to Portfolios explores how philanthropy can support system shifts by connecting action across sectors and using catalytic capital to unlock wider investment.

Drawing on examples from Nepal, the Philippines, Senegal, and Singapore, the report shows how connected interventions can reinforce one another and help inclusive progress endure.

In partnership Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore, Temasek Foundation provides immersive learning journeys for students to explore explored advanced manufacturing, future mobility and sustainability.

The partnership aims to create more opportunities for young people to develop future-ready skills, broaden their perspectives and work across cultures.

A greener future may be growing underwater.

In Lombok, Indonesia, lies the world’s first large-scale mechanised tropical seaweed farm.

In partnership with Temasek Foundation, Sea6 Energy from India explores how seaweed can be farmed more efficiently at scale, unlocking its potential as a more sustainable alternative for materials traditionally made from fossil fuels or land-based biomass.

When it comes to climate action, most people think about cutting emissions.

While that is critical, it is also about helping communities and businesses adapt to how heat, floods, and droughts are already affecting lives today. As such acute events become more frequent, recovery takes longer and temporary disruptions can become chronic hazards.

Nowhere is this more urgent than Asia, which is warming twice as fast as the global average.

The good news: solutions already exist — across areas like agriculture, water, health, and energy — and public, private, and philanthropic actors can all make a real difference.

This takes more than increased funding. The more important question is: how do we get funding to where it matters most?

The first time Ruth Soh stepped into Temasek Shophouse (TSH) in early 2022, she fell in love — not just with the building, but also what it stood for as a social impact hub.

"When I learnt about its purposeful mission of serving changemakers and building connected communities, as well as its upcoming expansion, I was sold," says Ruth, who now leads TSH's Placemaking & Community efforts.

In her role, Ruth works with non-profits, social enterprises, ground-ups, and community partners to co-curate events across sustainability, heritage, and culture, activating the space for greater good.

That same love for bringing people together shows up at home too, where she and her husband regularly host private dining experiences for friends and strangers alike.

A hotter world calls for cooler solutions.

Eztia’s HydraVolt cooling apparel can lower skin temperature by up to 9°C for up to eight hours.

With support from Temasek Foundation, 120 outdoor workers at SATS, PSA and Soilbuild Construction are putting the technology to the test in real working conditions.

The idea is simple: help people working in the heat stay safer, more comfortable and productive — and find out what works well enough to scale.
