On 7 June 2026, AHW distributed rice packets and bottled water to homeless individuals and people who rely on begging for their daily needs in Chilaw Town, Sri Lanka, during lunchtime. The recipients were grateful and thankful for the relief and support provided.

All the 70 children studying at this school are from impoverished families, and it is difficult for them to bear educational expenses. AHW provided paint bottles to Munneshwaram Primary School under the Education Project to help repaint their blackboard. The current blackboard needs repairs, and teachers are finding it difficult to write clearly on it. All the children studying at this school are from impoverished families, and it is difficult for the school community to bear these expenses. (Our mission is to help them to have a better education)

AHW is very happy to have become a part of repairing the roof of the Montessori building run by the Rev. Sisters. They did not have enough funds to complete the work they had started, so AHW was able to support them in completing this important task.

All the children studying there are from underprivileged families, and this repair will help provide them with a safer and better environment for their education.

On 11th May 2026, AHW provided raincoats to 10 children of Thissogama Primary School under the Education Project.

These children come from underprivileged families and often face difficulties attending school during rainy days due to the lack of proper transportation and protective clothing. Many of them walk nearly 2 km to school every day, making it very challenging to attend classes during bad weather conditions. The donated raincoats will help them continue their education safely and regularly even during heavy rain.

AHW sincerely thanks all the generous donors whose kind contributions made this initiative possible. Your support brings hope and encouragement to these children and their families.

AHW proudly participated in and sponsored a special event organized by Thissogama and Munneshwaram Primary Schools in Sri Lanka, as part of its Education Project.

The main purpose of this event was to support the personal development of children. It featured a variety of fun games and activities where children could laugh, bond with their parents, build team spirit, and learn to face challenges together.

It was a joyful and meaningful day filled with unity, happiness, and growth.

AHW extended its support towards the roof repair of the Montessori run by the Rev. Sisters in Wanathawilluwa. This Montessori serves many children from underprivileged families, and the building was in poor condition, making urgent repairs necessary to ensure the safety and continuity of their education.

While AHW was able to contribute financially towards a part of the repair, the need was greater, and we are grateful to have stepped in during this critical time to support their efforts.
