2nd Coy participated in Victoria School's annual Inter-UG Games Day on 11 April (the same day our Blaze Boys competed in the national BB Blaze adventure race).

Our BB Boys put up a good showing in the various sports, achieving 2nd Place for Basketball (Seniors), Captain's Ball (Seniors) and Football (Juniors), and 3rd Place for Football (Seniors)!

We are grateful for the opportunity to interact with our fellow uniformed groups over friendly competition, and look forward to yet another face off next year! Viva Victoria, and Nil Sine Labore.

On 4 April, we officially enrolled 15 new recruits into 2nd Coy at our sponsoring church, ! We look forward to building them into men of steadfast character as they learn to love, serve and lead with hope and joy. ⚓

Our members, NCOs, Primers and Officers also reaffirmed their dedication by renewing their vows. Heartfelt speeches from our outgoing NCO Council Chairman, CSM and ASM served as powerful testaments to how the BB continues to nurture Boys into servant leaders with discipline and self-respect. 🫡

We capped off the service with a surprise promotion ceremony! Several Sec/Yr 4 Boys were promoted to Staff Sergeant (SSG) and Warrant Officer (WO) in recognition of their outstanding growth and invaluable contributions. 🔰

May God grant 2nd Coy—alongside our brother and sister companies, BB 60th Coy and GB 45th Coy—the grace to be faithful in our duties, joyful in service, and blessed in all our endeavors. Amen! 🙌

A new era unfolds! On 31 January 2026, we came together to celebrate a significant transition of our Company: LTA Raveen Chinnavan passing the leadership mantle to LTA Lim Ting Jie at the Captaincy Handover Ceremony. ⚓️✨

It was heartening to see our Boys, alumni, friends and guests from Kampong Kapor Methodist Church fill the parade square to witness the proceedings. The parade featured a sharp Guard-of-Honour—reviewed by Guest-of-Honour Mr Lim Wei Zhong Clarence, Vice-Principal of Victoria School (Academic & Faculty)—and spirited performances by our Pipe Band. The ceremony reached its symbolic peak with the handing over of the Company Colours, marking the formal transfer of leadership and responsibility. 🥁🫡

Moving indoors, we gathered to honour LTA Raveen for his 11 years of dedicated service as Captain. We also recognised the deep commitment of our Chaplain, Reverend Poh Zhi-Hui, to the Brigade with the AM Cherian 25-year Long Service Award. As 2nd Coy celebrates our 95th anniversary this year, we remain "Sure and Stedfast!" in our calling to build character and leadership in every Boy. 🛡️🔥🏆

With this new chapter comes an opportunity to fuel our work. We invite you to support our mission to nurture our Youth through our ongoing BB Week fundraiser (1 March – 5 April 2026). Your generosity directly enables the growth and development of our Boys through our holistic badgework programme of fun, meaningful and challenging activities. End of BB Week 2025

As we wrap up our social media campaign for BB Week 2025, we have a couple of words of appreciation from our Chaplain, LTA (Rev) Poh Zhi Hui:

Dear friends of 2nd Coy,

On behalf of the Boys, Primers and Officers of the Company, I would like to thank all who have donated through BB Week towards the work of 2nd Coy.

The money that you have donated goes towards funding the activities of the Company to provide learning experiences for our Boys for the building up of their character and nurturing them as leaders who serve.

I have been a beneficiary of generous donors like yourselves to the work of 2nd Coy when I was a Boy in the 90s. It was 2nd Coy that taught me Christian values and skills for life and leadership – things that have helped me well beyond my schooling years till today. I am sure many old Boys of 2nd Coy share the same sentiment.

Thank you once again for helping 2nd Coy continue in its work and for sowing into the lives of our Boys!

Sure & Stedfast!

Day 32 of BB Week

Today we have testimony from our incoming Band Major, Xu Shanhong.

From the moment I first wore the Boys' Brigade uniform, I knew I was beginning a journey more meaningful than I had imagined. What started as a CCA soon became a transformative experience – one that instilled in me discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of camaraderie with my cohort. Through weekly drills, band practice, VIA projects and leadership opportunities, I grew not only as a member of the CCA but as a person.

One of the most important lessons I learned in Boys' Brigade was discipline. Each year, our two overnight camps tested our endurance and teamwork through outdoor cooking, expedition planning, and cohort games. These experiences taught me how to collaborate with both seniors and juniors to complete challenging activities planned by our dedicated officers. Beyond camps, our VIA trip to Chiang Mai last year was especially eye-opening. From teaching English in a primary school to painting church walls, I learned to appreciate what I have and saw the real-world impact of small acts of kindness. Whether leading expeditions or preparing meals over an open fire, I gained life skills that built my confidence and shaped my leadership.

But perhaps the most valuable gift Boys' Brigade gave me is a sense of belonging. Before joining, I struggled to fit in at a new school where I knew no one. Within BB, I found not just friends, but a brotherhood built on trust, shared experiences, and constant support from our officers and teachers. Whether planning games or practicing drills, I always felt that connection with my cohort.

Looking back, I see how much I’ve grown. The Boys' Brigade molded me into a more disciplined, resilient, and compassionate individual—and gave me a brotherhood I’ll always be grateful for.

Please donate to Boys’ Brigade 2nd Singapore Company to continue supporting us in nurturing the next generation of leaders!

Day 32 of BB Week

Today we have testimony from Evans, a current Secondary 2 student, on his ongoing experience in our 2nd Coy Boys’ Brigade family.

"When I chose BB as my first choice in Sec 1, I didn't really choose it willingly. All of my other preferred CCAs had rejected me and I had no other choice. However, one year on, I can now confidently and definitively say that I don't regret my choice at all. Over the last year, I have taken part in many meaningful experiences in BB, like the March and October camps. During the March camp, I was able to get to know my squad mates and cohort mates better, which allowed me to make new friends. During the October camp, I was able to experience outdoor camping for the first time, and learnt useful outdoor navigation skills like how to use a map and compass.

In conclusion, being part of BB has been an amazing experience, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me!”

Please donate to Boys’ Brigade 2nd Singapore Company for us to continue nurturing more Boys into upright individuals!

Day 30 of BB Week 2025

Let's take a look at a day of a BB parade!

Our BB boys spend their average Saturday morning in CCA. Starting with band and enrichment, boys are given time and assistance to improve on their own skills. This is quickly followed by Worship and Devotion where boys, of faith and not alike, are able to reflect on themselves, strengthening their character. Badgework then teaches boys important life skills and the day ends with a bunch of light hearted games, giving a nice finishing touch to the parade.

We envision giving boys nurturing and fulfilling experiences which will help them later on in life while also keeping them excited to learn more. A day in a BB parade may not always be easy however our Boys will definitely be strengthened by them!
