Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d for the KJCBA Laneway Launch Street Party, and to the many neighbours, businesses, and friends who generously offered food, drinks, and support. We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the response and community spirit shown over the past few weeks.

Due to the strong turnout, registration is now officially closed. While we’d love to accommodate everyone, we also want to ensure the event remains safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for all without overcrowding.

The Katong-Joo Chiat Business Association (KJCBA) recently held our inaugural town hall to share updates and gather feedback from businesses and residents on ideas for events and developments in the precinct that can benefit the community.

We were genuinely encouraged by the warmth, openness, and candour of everyone who attended; the discussions will only motivate us to work even more closely with the community to shape and lead meaningful initiatives that bring people together,

**Katong-Joo Chiat Town Hall – 20 April 2026**

The Katong-Joo Chiat Business Association (KJCBA) is organising a townhall to share updates, hear concerns, and consolidate community feedback about changes in the neighbourhood including road closures and events.

We will also cover potential support measures and placemaking plans aimed at strengthening the area and supporting businesses.

All merchants, residents, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. Hope to see you there!

KJCBA kicked off the year with our first members’ meeting at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel yesterday.

Over a buffet lunch at Feast Asia, we gathered to thank members who contributed to the success of last year’s projects — from the laneway mural painting and the Joo Chiat Road light-up, to onboarding businesses into the CDC Voucher Programme — and to welcome new members into the fold.

We’re heartened by the continued support from the Katong–Joo Chiat community. A special highlight was longtime member and supporter Vincent Choon from Ah Yee Soon Kueh who generously created calligraphy well-wishes for members in celebration of the new year.

Thank you to the team at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel for hosting us so warmly. Stay tuned — more exciting community programmes ahead.
