💜 Building a Safer and More Supportive Community Together 💜

Our Understanding Family Violence workshop in collaboration with AWARE Singapore, was a meaningful afternoon of learning, reflection, and open conversations on an important social issue.

A heartfelt thank you to AWARE for partnering with us and delivering such an insightful and engaging session. Through their expertise, participants gained a deeper understanding of the different forms of family violence, learnt to recognise the signs of abuse, understood the challenges victims may face in seeking help, and discovered how each of us can play a role in supporting those in need.

The workshop also introduced participants to the various support services available in Singapore, empowering our community with the knowledge to respond with empathy, compassion, and confidence.

We would also like to thank all our residents for taking the time to join us. Your willingness to learn and engage in meaningful discussions is an important step towards fostering a kinder, safer, and more caring community for everyone.

Family violence can happen in many forms, and understanding the signs is the first step towards creating a safer and more supportive community.

Join us for an insightful talk organised by Cheng San CC WEC in collaboration with AWARE, where you’ll learn to:

📖 Empowering Our Community Through Legal Knowledge 📖⚖️

Yesterday, residents gathered at Cheng San Community Club for an insightful Legal Clinic Workshop, organised by Cheng San CC WEC in collaboration with NUS Students’ Law Project Mediation. The workshop provided practical legal knowledge and a better understanding of everyday legal matters.

Participants gained valuable insights and had the opportunity to ask questions, helping them make more informed decisions and navigate legal issues with greater confidence.

A heartfelt thank you to the NUS student volunteers for generously sharing your knowledge and expertise. We would also like to extend our appreciation to Mr Boey for joining us and supporting this meaningful session.

Lastly, thank you to all our residents for taking the time to participate and making the workshop a meaningful one. We hope everyone walked away with valuable knowledge and greater confidence in understanding legal and mediation matters.
