Blue Cross Charitable Institution (BCCI) is a compassionate alliance of temple organizations, founded in 1942, with the mission of providing shelter, food, care, and burial services to those in need, irrespective of race, language, or religion. Our founding members, Poh Kiu Siang Tng, Seu Teck Sean Tong Yiang Sin Sia, Thong Keng Charitable Institution, Nanyang Thong Hong Siang Tng, and Nam Ann Sia
ng Theon, have been joined since the mid-1950s by like-minded organizations such as Thong Teck Sian Tong Lian Sin Sia, Singapore Poh Teck Siang Tng, Nam Hong Siang Theon, Cheng Hong Charitable Organisation, and Singapore Chung Hong Siang Tng, all committed to making a positive impact on the community. Registered as a Social Service Agency (UEN: S61SS0049L), we have adapted to Singapore's evolving social services landscape while remaining dedicated to our core objectives:
1. Offer assistance to the needy, the sick, the distressed, and anyone facing hardships, without discrimination.
2. Carry out welfare work including:
- Providing free medical services to those in need.
- Offering financial aid and support to the elderly, sick, or disabled.
- Encouraging education and promoting family harmony.
- Providing free burial services and financial assistance for funerals.
