On 11 July 2026, Eunos Harmony Circle members were happy to join more than 2,000 guests at the Inter Racial Inter Religious (IRIR) Harmony Nite 2026, celebrating Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage under the theme, “Heritage: The Heart of Harmony.” We were honoured to be joined by Guest-of-Honour, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State for Education, Mr David Neo. Organised annually by the Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society since 2004, the event celebrates Singapore’s racial and religious diversity while inviting Singaporeans to reflect on the traditions and values we inherit, and the legacy of harmony we hope to pass on to future generations.

Behind every successful harmony event is something even more meaningful—a community of people serving together.

Over the past few weeks, our volunteers, grassroots leaders, partners and friends have been working side by side to prepare for tomorrow’s Eunos Racial Harmony Celebrations 2026. From planning and coordinating behind the scenes to setting up booths, decorating the venue, sharing meals and lending a helping hand, we have been reminded that harmony is not only what we celebrate—it is what we live.

Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming everyone to a day of cultural experiences, interfaith learning, meaningful conversations and new friendships.

Because harmony begins long before the event starts, and continues long after it ends.

Youth leaders from Eunos Harmony Circle, together with friends from hash.peace, joined our Jain community for a meaningful sharing session titled “Break Free From Anxiety,” conducted by Pujya Atmarpit Kothariji under the guidance of Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji.

Organised by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) in collaboration with the Singapore Jain Religious Society (SJRS), the session offered practical and spiritual reflections on understanding and overcoming anxiety through the Jain perspective.

While grounded in the Jain tradition, many of the teachings resonated far beyond religious boundaries. Participants were encouraged to distinguish between real and imagined worries, remain present in the moment, cultivate faith and resilience, and recognise that our response to life’s uncertainties often matters more than the uncertainties themselves.

It was a meaningful reminder that interfaith engagement is not only about learning about one another’s beliefs, but also about discovering timeless wisdom that enriches our own lives and strengthens our shared humanity.

𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Members of the Eunos Harmony Circle visited Shen Feng Tan (聖封壇) during its 18th Anniversary Temple Celebration. The annual celebration commemorates the birthdays of Zhang Gong Sheng Jun (張公聖君), Jiu Dian Da Er Ye Bo (九殿大二爺伯), and other deities worshipped at the temple.

Held from the 20th to the 24th days of the fourth lunar month, the celebration features a series of Taoist rituals and ceremonies, including welcoming the Jade Emperor, paying homage to the Tian and Yin Generals, prayers, offerings, and blessing rites for peace, prosperity, and well-being.

Participants had the opportunity to experience aspects of Taoist religious culture that are rarely encountered in daily life. This included entering the tentage where the deities were installed and observing traditional religious practices such as spirit-medium rituals and salvation ceremonies for wandering souls.

A highlight of the visit was a sharing session by youth leaders Raaj, a Hindu, and Taro, a Taoist, who offered insights into the beliefs, traditions, and rituals being observed. Drawing from both their personal experiences and knowledge of their respective faiths, they helped participants gain a deeper understanding of the significance of these practices and their place within Singapore’s multicultural and multi-religious society.

The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen community bonds, deepen cultural understanding, and encourage appreciation of Singapore’s diverse religious traditions. We extend our sincere thanks to Ken from Shen Feng Tan and his team for their warm hospitality and for generously sharing their traditions and practices with us.

𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝗣𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗮 @ 𝗘𝘂𝗻𝗼𝘀

Eunos Harmony Circle, Eunos CC MAEC, and the Indian Muslim Social Service Association (IMSSA) jointly organised a meaningful evening at Harmony Buka Puasa @ Eunos, where residents, volunteers, youth leaders, and community partners came together to break fast in a spirit of unity and quiet reflection.

This gathering reflected what is possible when a community comes together with shared intention and care.

The evening was made especially meaningful through its interfaith elements. We heard reflections from both Muslim and Taoist speakers on the significance of fasting, offering perspectives across traditions. Youth leaders from Harmony Circle also engaged guests in conversations on fasting practices in different religions, creating gentle spaces for learning and understanding.

It was heartening to see people from different backgrounds sitting together, sharing a meal and conversation—simple yet meaningful moments that strengthen the bonds within our community.

As part of the Chinese New Year season, members of the Eunos Harmony Circle visited several temples to extend festive greetings and strengthen friendships with religious leaders who contribute greatly to Singapore’s social harmony.

On 14 February 2026, we visited Chong Teck Sng Tng / Jee Hai Tung Kwan Im Welfare Society / Lian Sheng Tang Welfare Society, where we were warmly received by Mr Ong Lian Kwang, PBM, and Mr Alan Ng.

On 19 February 2026, we continued our visits to several temples across Singapore. We had the honour of meeting Venerable Miao Mu, Abbess of Fo Guang Shan (Singapore); Mr Desmond Tan from Punggol Tu Di Gong Temple 榜鹅土地公庙; Mr Lee Tian Ming from Loyang Tua Pek Kong Temple; Mr Siew Kian Nam from Hong San Temple; and Mr Tan Thiam Lye, BBM(L) from Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple 新加坡菲菜芭城隍庙.

These visits are always a meaningful reminder that Singapore’s harmony is nurtured through friendship, mutual respect, and regular engagement across our different faith communities.

As everyone settles into the Year of the Horse, we wish our friends continued peace, good health, and prosperity in the year ahead.

As we gather tonight for the first Terawih* prayers, may this sacred month bring peace to your hearts, strength in your worship, and blessings to your families and our wider community.

* Terawih refers to the special nightly prayers performed during Ramadan after the evening prayer.
