Whatโ€™s the connection between our food and mood? Eating mindlessly, followed by feeling bloated and/or guilty after?
When we mindfully shift to a state of full attention, we bring awareness to our habits; which in turn gives us recognition to patterns and allows us to take charge of our plate.
In Episode 3, Elizabeth Lazan talks to Pooja Vig, CEO, Nutrition Clinic. They discuss ways we can give our second brain, the gut, the goodness it needs to stay healthy!

We tend to be hard on ourselves and strive to perfect our situations. Instead of focusing on how we are different from others, exercising self-compassion can help us view our similarities. Recognise that the inadequacies, imperfections and challenges are all part of our shared human experience, not just something that happens to us on our own.
Join Mae (), Asher Low - Founder and Executive Director of Limitless Singapore, Dr Daniel Cordaro - CEO and Founder of The Contentment Foundation, and Nicholas Patrick โ€“ Mental Health Ambassador, in this meaningful conversation on building good mental well-being practices and cultivating a more inclusive community to support one another.

Having experienced the challenges and losing friends in her journey, Mae () opens up to share her personal journey to raise awareness on the importance of mental health and how we can find ways to support our journey towards good mental well-being.
Being aware with no judgement is the first step to take as it provides us with the opportunity to find the tools and ways to support our journey. The journey doesnโ€™t have to be a lonely one and it is important to create a good support network. Depression does not discriminate - regardless of age, background, or who you are, it can happen to anyone. The journey of discovery to mentally cope with the thoughts, emotions, and challenges is never an easy one and it is unique to every individual.

Self-compassion helps provide us with refuge from our critical mind and enhance our overall acceptance in life. Mindfulness practice allows us to observe our experiences with openness and clarity, it helps us face life with acceptance without judgement and reactivity.
Rather than offering judgement and criticism on ourselves, we offer patience and kindness - we exercise forgiveness and extending the same kindness to ourselves as we would to a loved one.
Create a compassionate space by exercising a 10-min breathing meditation every day.

๐Ÿค“ Mindfulness thought of the day: Self-Compassion
Instead of focusing on how we are different from others, self-compassion can help us view our similarities. It helps us to recognise that the inadequacies, imperfections and challenges are all part of our shared human experience, not just something that happens to us on our own. It lessens our self-judgement and connects us with others.
๐Ÿ™ Be kind to your mind.
