To WORSHIP, BELONG & SERVE, GROW & GO are priorities that we have subscribed to, in order to realise our vision and calling.
WORSHIP, prayer, praise and thanksgiving are our highest priorities - Having grasped how wide and long, and deep and high is the love of Christ. And, coming into new life that has God’s abundant provision of grace, and the gift of righteousness coming to reign in us. (Very simply, we love God and one another, because He first loved us.)
Gathering for worship follows a thirst for God’s presence, and out of a profound sense of his worthiness. They are precious times to honour and revere God, and to look forward to His "visitation" as a by-product of our worship: God’s presence and power for refreshing / renewal, wisdom, for deliverances, for sanctification and healing.
Out of worship, an intimate relationship is engendered.
BELONG & SERVE: Coming together in fellowship makes us, "Better together".
Serve, as a fellowship is both a place you belong to (where you fit in, feel right with, like "coming home") and, a place which belongs to you.
And, with God's presence and power, we can naturally supernaturally care, share, and serve each other. In practical ways, like praying for one another, lending a listening ear, coming alongside in times of trauma, and offering tangible helps when needed.
Enjoy together the blessings of God that come with unity.
GROW & GO as a priority, is an intergal part of discipleship: Growing in spiritual maturity, becoming more like Jesus. And, where we are and as we go, "doing the stuff" and the good works that the Lord has prepared in advance for each one of us.
Accordingly, Grow and Go, encompass both effort, and grace, in:
1) Imitating Jesus to have the character, mind, the heart of God. Being filled with, and empowered by, the Spirit.
2) Making the Bible (God's written word) central to our teaching, faith and life; Teaching the Bible clearly and accurately. Contextualising without compromising.
3) Making disciples, that includes training and disciplines to “shape & equip the saints” for the work of ministry, and also for the new life.
4) Showing the love of God for the poor, the broken, and the marginalized.
5) Helping others fall in love with God; Telling and displaying the good news of Jesus and God's kingdom. (Also witnessing with our personal stories. And, how did Jesus put it: Be salt & light, be like a city on a hill.)
6) Being "missional": Especially in neighboring countries - Coming alongside; Where appropriate, making available resources to the church plants which we are relating to.
7) Loving, respecting and co-operating with all other fellowships because we are all part of the Body of Christ.
P.S. It has been a great privilege and adventure to traverse this course, sowing & garnering rich blessings as we go!
