New Life Vineyard Singapore Welcome to New Life Vineyard, Singapore, a part of the Vineyard family of churches founded by John Wimber. Bless you. Pastor Choo Lye Heng

We are a bunch of people who gather to live our lives as disciples of Jesus making other disciples, and in response to his command to “love God and to love one another.”

First to admit we don’t know how to do that very well at times, but we don’t think God has given us any alternative but to try. A number of us meet regularly on Sundays in a home, from 11.00 am. If you are wondering what it would

be like to be part of a church plant community and would like to find out more about us, do email me.

To WORSHIP, BELONG & SERVE, GROW & GO are priorities that we have subscribed to, in order to realise our vision and calling.

WORSHIP, prayer, praise and thanksgiving are our highest priorities - Having grasped how wide and long, and deep and high is the love of Christ. And, coming into new life that has God’s abundant provision of grace, and the gift of righteousness coming to reign in us. (Very simply, we love God and one another, because He first loved us.)

Gathering for worship follows a thirst for God’s presence, and out of a profound sense of his worthiness. They are precious times to honour and revere God, and to look forward to His "visitation" as a by-product of our worship: God’s presence and power for refreshing / renewal, wisdom, for deliverances, for sanctification and healing.

Out of worship, an intimate relationship is engendered.

BELONG & SERVE: Coming together in fellowship makes us, "Better together".

Serve, as a fellowship is both a place you belong to (where you fit in, feel right with, like "coming home") and, a place which belongs to you.

And, with God's presence and power, we can naturally supernaturally care, share, and serve each other. In practical ways, like praying for one another, lending a listening ear, coming alongside in times of trauma, and offering tangible helps when needed.

Enjoy together the blessings of God that come with unity.

GROW & GO as a priority, is an intergal part of discipleship: Growing in spiritual maturity, becoming more like Jesus. And, where we are and as we go, "doing the stuff" and the good works that the Lord has prepared in advance for each one of us.

Accordingly, Grow and Go, encompass both effort, and grace, in:

1) Imitating Jesus to have the character, mind, the heart of God. Being filled with, and empowered by, the Spirit.

2) Making the Bible (God's written word) central to our teaching, faith and life; Teaching the Bible clearly and accurately. Contextualising without compromising.

3) Making disciples, that includes training and disciplines to “shape & equip the saints” for the work of ministry, and also for the new life.

4) Showing the love of God for the poor, the broken, and the marginalized.

5) Helping others fall in love with God; Telling and displaying the good news of Jesus and God's kingdom. (Also witnessing with our personal stories. And, how did Jesus put it: Be salt & light, be like a city on a hill.)

6) Being "missional": Especially in neighboring countries - Coming alongside; Where appropriate, making available resources to the church plants which we are relating to.

7) Loving, respecting and co-operating with all other fellowships because we are all part of the Body of Christ.

P.S. It has been a great privilege and adventure to traverse this course, sowing & garnering rich blessings as we go!

Check out if these values which we hold dear, are relevant and worth practicing - Distinctive which we really hope that people will see in us, and that we believe, would be good reasons to celebrate being part of the Vineyard family!

1) Firstly, is being relational: We care more about relationships and people than structures / forms, rules and programs. (Not that they are unimportant but relationships and people must matter most)

We believe that who we are flows from having a Father in heaven who values each person, and who wants to relate closely to all of us

It is knowing God’s love and experiencing His presence in a real and personal way (in our hearts and minds) that defines us: Defines how we respond to Him, behave with one another, and live our lives

2) And, so our highest priority is intimacy with God, drawing near to the Father personally, and together as a fellowship (corporately)

You should know that the time we give in our service for singing and worshipping is never just an ice breaker or a filler nor just a preparation for the sermon (God forbid)

It is precious time to draw near to him to express our thanks, praise and worship of Him ...and more (like to receive - a fresh word, infilling and more...)

3) We also believe in being real, believing that the Bible clearly teach that there are more things in existence than what we can see and touch

There is an unseen world, a spiritual realm that has an influence over folks' lives and affairs

There is a powerful angel, a spirit being who is our Enemy and who is the source of the evil around us

But the good news is that we have been set free. God’s will, goodness and power overcome the evil intentions of the Enemy

In short, we take seriously what Jesus has modelled for us and commanded us to do:

Proactively setting "captives" free from the influence and works of the Enemy;

Being compassionate and extending mercy to those in need;

Caring for others to the extent that you are prepared to forgo your rights, spend your resources and yourself on others
