Good vibes, great company, and lots of matcha! 🍵💚

Our Volunteer Engagement Session brought together 24 ECF volunteers for a Matcha Appreciation with Matchaya.

From learning how to fully experience matcha using our senses to making drinks, it was a hands-on and refreshing experience.

“It was a fun-filled session! Matcha is my emotional support drink, so it is great to have the opportunity to learn how to appreciate it better.”

We appreciate and support each other so we can better support the children we serve.

Who knew appreciation could taste this good? 🥰

“Why me?”

That was the question Nicole asked when life took a difficult turn, and she faced the stress of paying rent and utilities while putting food on the table. In our first world state, poverty can feel harsh, unpredictable, and sometimes completely out of your control.

Her perspective expanded after experiencing the Point Of View (POV) poverty sensitisation workshop.

The simulation wasn’t easy, but it opened her eyes to something powerful. The unseen resilience in our communities, and how people continue to push forward despite the odds.

Want to understand this reality on a deeper level?

Some nights don’t go as planned… and that’s okay.

A Bedtime for Bear is a gentle, funny story about routines, friendship, and learning to go with the flow. Sometimes, the best moments come from being flexible and enjoying time with a friend.

Recommended for children aged 4–7 years, especially those who love routines or are learning to adapt to change.

As Ramadan comes to a close, we reflect on a month of patience, compassion, and giving. Hari Raya is a time of renewal, forgiveness, and togetherness. It reminds us that the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in a child's life.

May this festive season be filled with warmth, gratitude, and moments shared with loved ones.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

It takes a community to raise a child 🤝

For Mavis, volunteering with ECF is more than an experience. It’s a calling. As an early childhood educator, she’s using her skills to give every child the strong foundation they deserve.

The best moments? Watching little minds at work during free play and discovering how they think, imagine, and create.

If you believe in shaping bright beginnings, join us. DM us to find out more ✨

Our Story

In the spirit of giving back to society, the EtonHouse International Education Group started EtonHouse Community Fund Limited (ECF) as a separate entity when it celebrated its 20th anniversary. It was launched at a charity dinner on 22 October 2015. ECF is a registered charity committed to helping children from underprivileged backgrounds.

Founder Mrs. Ng Gim Choo said, “I have always believed that education and charity are two sides of the same coin. How can you build character without teaching generosity to help the less fortunate? I also believe that the gift of education is the best possible charity we can give because we are investing in a child’s future. So we launch ECF to help children from underprivileged backgrounds to advance their educational goals. Through the power of education, we hope to improve the lives of these children and their families.”

Today, ECF is recognised as an Institution of a Public Character by the Commissioner of Charities in Singapore.
