EveryChild.SG Every Child Should Be Supported to Thrive Emotionally, Socially, and Academically

At EveryChild.SG, we believe that every child in Singapore deserves to grow up in a safe, loving and nurturing environment – one where they feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. In a society where childhood is not just about academic success, but growing into confident, kind and resilient adults who are ready for the future. We also believe that parents, caregivers and ed

Every Child, Flourishing

Every child grows up in a loving and nurturing environment, and caregivers and educators are resourced to build this environment. Our Mission
Through research, public engagement, and collaboration with government and civil society, we work towards a Singapore that prioritises the well-being and holistic development of all its children.

Some things don’t stay in childhood.

They stay in the way we speak to ourselves. The way we react. The way we love. The way we parent.

Why Hurt Children Hurt Children is an interactive experience exploring the emotional wounds many of us grew up normalising.

Why hurt children hurt children?

Some voices stay. Not just the loud ones.

The quiet ones we learned to live with.

The ones that taught us to shrink, to second guess, to stay silent.

And years later, we realise… we didn’t just carry them.

We became them.

Some of us still remember how it sounded.

Some of us still remember how it sounded.

There are some things we never said out loud.

This Mother’s Day, we asked several individuals what they wished they had told their mum.

"Thank you for rushing home to cook dinner for us even after a long day at work."

"I know you stayed up at night worrying about my health. I don't say this enough but I noticed."

"Thank you for mending the hole in my school pants. It was such a small thing but I never forgot it."

"Thank you for hugging me every time I was sad even when I couldn't tell you why."

"You saved my toy when I thought it was gone forever. Mum, I love you."

"You always made sure I ate first. I only understood why when I became a parent myself."

It's the small things that we experienced in childhood that is deeply ingrained in our memories.

The warm meals. The late nights. The quiet sacrifices that were never announced.
Children notice more than we think.

They carry these moments with them, sometimes for a lifetime even when they don't have the words for it yet.

To every mother who has ever loved a child in the small, unglamorous, everyday ways, your children see you. They always have.

Happy Mother's Day 💛
