💗 Kindness makes the world a better place! 💗
An elderly man with his left foot in a cast was limping slowly towards Service 65 at the bus stop along Bedok Reservoir Road.
Upon noticing the man, 35-year-old Senior Bus Captain (BC) Ngui Soon Peng swiftly exited his cabin and rushed over to help him. Soon Peng placed his hands beneath the elderly man's arms and lifted him gently, helping him into the bus. He continued to support the passenger to a seat on the bus. Anticipating potential challenges when the man would need to alight, Soon Peng thoughtfully asked about his intended destination.
As the bus arrived at the elderly man's intended bus stop, Soon Peng quickly stood up and went over to the man to help him up. He draped the man's arm over his shoulder, and together, they made their way down the bus. Soon Peng's considerate behaviour did not stop there as he patiently guided the man to a seat at the bus stop, before swiftly returning to the bus to continue the journey for his other passengers.
Soon Peng's act of kindness was witnessed by another passenger onboard, who reached out to SBS Transit to share this heartwarming story. Well done Soon Peng! You make us so proud and are indeed an exemplary role model for us all! 😊
