This May Day, UNI affiliates across India 🇮🇳 marked the day with strong participation and solidarity:

✊ Kerala: FNPO organised a Circle-Level Women’s Convention in Ernakulam, bringing together women postal workers to celebrate unity and leadership.

📚 JSNGEF-IN: Held a seminar on the history of May Day, paying tribute to the Haymarket martyrs and highlighting the call for equal pay.

🚩 Bihar: BRCKS led a rally, bringing workers together to raise their voices on workers’ rights.

These activities show the continued commitment of workers across India to stand together and push for fairness.

The 35th Executive Committee of UNI Asia & Pacific met in Singapore on 23–24 April 2026, adopting two key statements on the Middle East conflict and the Nepal government's proposed ban on public sector trade unions.

The meeting also marked the 13th anniversary of the Rana Plaza garment factory collapse, observing a minute of silence for the more than 1,100 workers who lost their lives.
