Yesterday, we officially welcomed Rover Sufian into the Soaring Seagulls Rovering Crew! 🦅🔥
The investiture ceremony marked not just a beginning, but a renewed commitment to service, leadership, and adventure. 🌍

A huge salute to our new Rover Exco for planning and executing a truly meaningful ceremony — a moment that reminds us why we wear our scarves with pride. 💪

Yesterday’s investiture marked the beginning of a new chapter for me. Scouting has always felt like a second home, but now it feels more like a second family. The ceremony opened my eyes to how meaningful and challenging the path to becoming a Rover is, as well as the road that lies ahead. I hope to face this journey with confidence and overcome my fears along the way.

On 11th October, our Rovers joined Backwoodsman at Zhenghua Secondary! 🔥 The new Rover EXCO and fellow Rovers reignited their fire-starting skills and team spirit. 🌲💪✨

Today, our rover crew took a break from our usual adventures to give back to the community by volunteering at the local food bank. 🥫💙

Together, we sorted through generous donations, making sure that food gets into the hands of those who need it most!

Reflecting on the experience, it’s heartwarming to see how small actions can create a meaningful impact and it allows us to gain a deeper appreciation for the resources many might take for granted in our daily lives.

Let’s continue to spread kindness and support one another, because together, we can make a difference! 🙌✨

On the 8th March 2025, we hosted the Hand Over Take Over (HOTO) at Greenridge Secondary School where the secondary 1s are officially invested into the scout group and the PLC has changed so that they can lead the scout unit by example.

On February 15th 2025, we had our AGM where we looked back on the experiences and hardships we faced during 2024 and also learnt about the upcoming events in 2025.

Planning this AGM was not easy as we had to coordinate with multiple parties with varying availability. And also, the setting up took up abit of time.

Overall the start was a little rough but we ended it well. The planning team definitely gained more experience when it comes to coordinating and executing.

Another year has passed, and with it came another memorable day trip to JB for this year’s Rover Retreat. It was a great way to take a step back from our busy schedules, reconnect with one another, and reflect on how far we’ve come as a team. The retreat was filled with laughter, good conversations, and shared memories that reminded us of the bonds we’ve built over time.

As we close the chapter on this year, it’s the perfect moment to acknowledge the milestones we’ve reached and the challenges we’ve overcome together. Each step has made us stronger as a crew and as individuals.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about the possibilities for next year’s Rover Retreat—hopefully filled with even more outdoor adventures and meaningful experiences. As a crew, we’re also looking forward to organizing and participating in more events that bring us closer together and help us grow.

Thank you to everyone who made this retreat a success. Let’s carry this energy into the new year and continue building something great together. 🥳

On the 16th of November, we attended the NPC open house, an event filled with excitement and opportunities to connect with the scouting community. During the visit, we had the chance to admire the structures built by our Fox Scout group. We also took the time to explore the displays and activities of other scout groups from various areas. The weather was perfect, adding to the enjoyment of the day, and we had a wonderful time immersing ourselves in the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of the scouting spirit.

On August 3rd, 2024, we took part in a first-aid course, and it was a really cool learning experience. The facilitators were super helpful and made the whole thing easy to follow. Thanks to them, we picked up some useful skills and feel way more confident about handling emergencies. It was definitely worth it!

On July 20, 2024, we had an amazing time at the barbecue. The place was buzzing with joy and laughter as we all got together to hang out. It was a perfect chance for everyone to bond and get to know each other better in a laid-back setting. Seeing everyone having a blast, chatting, and sharing stories was awesome. The delicious food made it even better, turning it into an unforgettable day filled with fun, great company, and tasty barbecue!
