We are grateful for the opportunity to support the recent engagement session of the Marriage & Parenthood Reset Workgroup. Our executive director Darius Lee was lead facilitator and moderator of the panel discussion with Workgroup members Minister Indranee Rajah, MOS Rahayu Mahzam, MOS Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim and SPS Shawn Huang Wei Zhong 黄伟中.

"I found the discussions meaningful and insightful," said our executive director Darius Lee. "All of us have a part in helping families to thrive. When families thrive, all of society thrives as well."

We are thrilled that our Executive Director Darius Lee has won the Individual Family Champion Award at Focus on the Family Singapore's 2026 Partnership Dinner! 🎉

The night was full of memories, including meeting Minister Masagos, and great conversations with people committed to raising stronger marriages and families.

🇸🇬 In 1971, Singaporeans were told to keep families small, chase achievement, and prioritise a high standard of living.

It worked: Today, houses are getting smaller, tuition spending has hit $1.8 billion a year, and the idea of a large family feels less like a dream and more like a heavy weight to carry.

The very values that built this nation may be the ones quietly talking us out of starting families.

🤩 The good news? This speech that helped set all this in motion may also point us toward reversing a declining TFR.
