We’re excited to announce the publication of Issue 27 of our opinion column, AI Perspectives, written by our Director General, Reza Moussavi.
This article examines a common early failure in institutional AI adoption: the tendency to mistake visible activity for real adaptation. Many organizations can point to pilots, tools, training programs, and innovation initiatives, yet their underlying structures of work, responsibility, capability, and governance remain largely unchanged. The piece argues that AI is not primarily a technology adoption challenge but an institutional redesign problem. Without deliberate changes to how work is organized and accountability is defined, AI activity risks becoming a signal of engagement rather than evidence of transformation.
