Assyrian Roots

Explore your Assyrian roots by a modern and interactive map. Build your own family tree, share your histories, pictures and much more!

Assyrian Roots includes a modern chart over Assyrian cities and villages in Assyria (the Nineveh Plains, Hakkari, Urmia, Gozarto, Bohtan and Turabdin). The user can sign up and fill in information about the many Assyrian settlements. At the same time it is possible to build your own family trees or have a DNA sample which reveals information about your own origin or ties with both Assyrians and non-Assyrians. Our hope is that Assyrian Roots will become a tool for knowledge about the Assyrian homeland and one's own origin for Assyrians globally.
