Our mission is to help children and young adults in Kosovo develop their reading and writing skills. We believe reading books is the best way for an individual to obtain knowledge, develop new ways of thinking, and explore their creativity. We want to create a framework for reading and analyzing literature, with the aim of increasing reading comprehension. We train teachers in using modelling and
reading strategies with their students. These are tools that help children develop reading comprehension. This framework is based on years of research and experience and is already being used in Swedish, Canadian the USA and other countries. More information about this method can be found under http://libraryprojectkosova.org/models. Our team consists of mainly volunteers who are passionate about reading and education. Our passion for literature and the desire to make it available to children is what unites us and motivates us to run this project. We do this voluntarily and cooperate with schools, teachers, parents, public libraries, publishing houses, municipalities, authorities, translators, and writers to help young reader in Kosovo. Our goal is to make reading a part of each child's life focusing on school, home and community.
