Empowering Moldovan Youth

Empowering Moldovan Youth This project aims to equip Moldovan youth with the proper skills to prepare them for a professional career. We want to give them a chance for a better future!

The organization behind Empowering Moldovan Youth is a mixture of current and former members of the student organization AIESEC in Romania and Sweden. AIESEC in Chisinau, Moldova, launched the “Global Learning School” in the summer of 2015, and we decided to help! The project consists of a six-week course in 25 locations throughout Moldova, where a total of 50 international students will teach Mol

dovan youth about international cultures, communication skills as well as digital skills, and tools to build a professional career. This page was created to raise money for this project.

Did you know that there are currently 7.000 children living in orphanages and institutions in Moldova?

These kids do not get the guidance they need, which is why a good practical education is even more important. Support Empowering Moldovan Youth and give Moldovan youth the chances they deserve. Does not everyone have the right to a bright future?

A recent study by Unicef shows that 1 out of 5 children in Moldova lives without at least one of their parents due to labour migration. This is worst in the rural areas, where the poverty rate for families with multiple children reaches 35%. Often, children are left without a caretaker and their chances for a bright future are slim.

The Other Hundred is a non-profit photo-book that presents stories from all over the world that are usually ignored by the media.

This is their coverage of the Moldovan children.
