We design a future that works for everyone.
Not just a few. Not just for those born in the certain places.

Everyone.

Because engineering with heart means putting the people and the planet first. For only 200 SEK a month for a year, you give 8 school children daily access to clean water.

Join Engineers Without Borders Sweden as a monthly donor this summer and help bring sustainable engineering solutions to the communities that need them most. 💚🌍

Thank you, Sveriges Ingenjörer! 💚

Earlier this spring, over 13,000 members of Sveriges Ingenjörer voted to elect their general assembly. For every vote cast, 10 SEK was to be donated to Engineers Without Borders Sweden.

🫴 Today, the union presented the final result and handed over a cheque reflecting the total contribution of 130,300 SEK.

— It is gratifying that through the commitment of our members we can make a substantial contribution to the important work of Engineers Without Borders, says Sofia Johannesson, Vice Chair of the Nomination Committee at Sveriges Ingenjörer and Project Manager for Ingenjörsvalet.

🌱 A significant portion of the donation will support an international project targeting women in rural areas of Zimbabwe:

— We are very grateful for the contribution from Sveriges Ingenjörer. It helps us to quickly move from word to action in a project that strengthens women’s opportunities through sustainable farming, says Marianne Grauers, Secretary General of Engineers Without Borders Sweden.

A few weeks have passed, but the energy from Gothenburg is still with us.💚

On April 25-26, over 50 members traveled from near and afar to share their visions and decide our path for the year ahead.

This weekend reminded us that our greatest power is our "borderless" nature. We operate at a unique intersection of global perspectives, with members and partners of various nationalities, backgrounds and professional expertise.

Together, we solve technical problems and create accessible, sustainable solutions that respect the nuances of the communities we serve. That is really something to be proud of! 💚

🫴 Relive the weekend and get to know the faces behind the mission on our website:

The foyer of Stena Center at Chalmers was filled with excitement and aspiration as members of Engineers Without Borders Sweden (EWB-SWE) gathered from across the country over the weekend of April 25-26.

Access to water is vital for any school to operate. 💧

In the heart of Tanzania, where the dry season tests the limits of self-sufficiency, Tumaini Open School gives young mothers a second chance at an education.

As part of their Master’s thesis, our volunteers Yasmine Jakobsson and Johanna Löf have been studying how to transform greywater, from dishes and laundry, into a valuable resource for the school. 🏫
