In continuation of the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence (day three), the Nada Al-Azhar Organization for Disaster Prevention and Development, the Nile River Office, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Nile River - Atbara, Sudan, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) , and Save the Children International , visited the women’s prison in Atbara and met with 50 of them.For female inmates, the day includes psychological support and drama (Duash Band) and distributing blankets and gifts to the inmates and toys for their children.
في اطار حملة ال16 يوم لـمكـافحـة العـنف ضـد النوع (اليوم الثالث) ، قامت منظمة ندي الازهار لدرء الكوارث والتنمية مكتب نهر النيل بالتعاون مع وزارة الشـؤون الاجتمـاعيـة بنهـر النيـل - عطبرة السودان و صندوق الامم المتحدة للسكان UNFPA وانقاذ الطفولة العالمية بزيارة سجن النساء بعطبرة واللقاء مع 50 من النزيلات واحتوي اليوم علي محاضرات دعم نفسي ودراما (فرقة دعاش) وتوزيع اغطية وهدايا للنزيلات ولعب لاطفالهم.

✍🏻 The Unit for Combating Violence against Women in the General Administration of Women and Family at the Ministry of Social Affairs in the River Nile - Atbara Sudan, reported the completion of final arrangements to start the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women. “Women, which comes in a smart partnership with UNFPA through its national partner, the Nada Al-Azhar Organization for Disaster Prevention and Development, the campaign activities will launch on Monday 25/11/24 at 11 o'clock in the morning.
More details will be announced in the coming days during the launch of the campaign.
